I started looking at the Billy bookcase from IKEA with glass doors weeks ago… But was nervous about the 11 in depth and losing some additional space. I took a few of my storage containers into IKEA and realized it would actually be the perfect size, so I purchased two on the spot! After building those I quickly realized I wanted to add a third bookcase to maximize the storage on the side of the room. It looked amazing with three stacked next to each other, but we wanted this to be a full built-in unit so we knew we had to build a base unit that will either be drawers or doors.
