Hallo allemaal!

Ik ben een gecertificeerde IB Spaans docent uit Madrid - Spanje, en werk momenteel als Spaans docent op een Internationale IB School in de West-Indië. Ik heb ervaring met IGCSE, Ab Initio en IBDP Spaans B.

Ik ben ook onderdeel van het Language Online Project met Vietnamese studenten (leeftijd 10 - 16) en help hen met tweede talen op schoolniveau.

Ik heb een masterdiploma in het onderwijzen van Spaans als vreemde taal en een postgraduaat in de Spaanse taal. Ik heb honderden lessen gegeven van alle soorten aan alle leeftijden gedurende meer dan 10 jaar en geef sinds 2016 online les. Ik ben ook een gecertificeerde DELE Spaans officiële examens examinator en werk voor de International Baccalaureate Organization als Teamleider voor de Spaans B Diploma Programma Examens.

Leuk weetje: Ik leer momenteel Japans met een online docent, dus ik weet precies hoe het is om aan de andere kant te zitten! :)

Ik heb studenten lesgegeven die graag reizen, naar Spaanssprekende landen zijn gemigreerd, en hen geholpen de cultuur te begrijpen. Ik ben zelf ook gemigreerd, dus ik kan me goed inleven.

Ik heb zelf als internationale student gestudeerd, dus ik weet hoe jouw ervaring zal zijn. Laat me je helpen bloeien in je internationale studie.

Ik werk graag met kinderen en tieners! Mijn favoriete lesstijl is interactief lesgeven. Werken met jongere studenten betekent dat ik leuke spelletjes in ons leren zal verwerken. Ik zal evalueren waar jouw kind zich bevindt in hun Spaans leertraject en met hen samenwerken door middel van consistente oefening en positieve bekrachtiging - zonder een leerstijl op te dringen die ze niet leuk vinden.

Alvaro is not only an exceptional tutor, but also one of the most dedicated teachers, I know. His weekly lessons over the last 2 months have allowed me to be projected at a 7 in IB Spanish ab initio, even though I had no Spanish knowledge, prior to this year. As a student in the Spanish language with no prior experience, I had close to no confidence in my abilities, but Alvaro has branched out to many methods and ideas on how to teach me complex topics, ultimately leading to a high level of comprehension and confidence. He is patient and clear as he walks me through the steps, using a digital interactive workspace, allowing me to practice my language skills, as we progress through the lesson. He frequently checks my understanding to make sure I have the foundational skills needed. His lessons are an efficient use of my time, as he works on the topics I currently have as well helps develop the needed understanding, applying my skills to other Spanish concepts. Going into my IB Spanish ab initio exam next year, I feel set up for success by the knowledge I have grasped, using his methods. I recommend Mr. Alvaro for any Spanish students, looking for a dedicated, and hard-working tutor to help meet their language goals!
