However, when her application for asylum is rejected, they decide, based on the supposedly poor health of the mother, to appeal against the deportation. On the day of the court-ordered medical checkup, Arezo injects her mother with a potent and dangerous drug designed to fool the medical tests. But while the plan seems to work, her mother's condition is deteriorating faster than expected.
