He doesn't have a recollection on how he got there, to begin with. Throughout the film, he ends up finding himself exactly where he started unexpectedly through an unknown series of events. As he continues to wake up from the same bed within the same day of every morning; he later comes to a realization that none of what's happening could possibly be real.
