On the surface, this looks and sounds like a Fruit Ninja clone. There’s fruit that you must slash with a knife-like object. The resemblance ends there. Fruit Master instead relies on tossing knives to slice the fruit open. You play in the kitchen of a smoothie shop.
In each level, fruit comes in a floating mass that often follows a rotational pattern. To progress through levels, slice open all the fruits by tossing your knife upwards. There’s no control involved; your knife only moves up. If you miss even once, it’s game over. To clear each level, you must observe how it turns to coordinate each knife toss. Fortunately, if you miss, you start at the last level you completed. This saves you the trouble of starting from scratch.
Though your score won’t carry over, the money you made will. This lets you earn for new knives, though you may only buy them at random.
Fruit Master is similar to the old Fruit Ninja game where you slice as many fruit as you can. But in this game, the player is given a knife that can only be thrown from one position. The fruits rotate at different speeds and directions depending on the level. You must click the knife throw and slice moving fruits. There are no limits to knife throws you can make. However, the game ends the moment you fail to slice any fruit. If you play again, you’ll start at the latest level. But you have the option to start from the bottom level.
More fruits are easier to slice. It gets tricky when there’s only one or two fruits left. The game is an exercise in patience. You have to wait for the right time to throw the knife. If you keep throwing without properly aiming, you’ll never advance your level. You earn more coins the more fruits you cut. And the more coins you have, the more you can customize your knives (there are 16 different knives in the game). It’s a fun, relaxing, and addictive game.
