I'll decline based on the conversation here. If you don't agree, please re-open. And I second Effeietsanders point that the blog post still is relevant and useful for other countries.
I'm going to decline this task given that it's been around for a long time. re-open if it's unresolved.
Folks, I'm going to decline this given that it's an old task. We can always create a new one for the future improvements in Montage.
This is an old task (and a good one). I declined as I don't see it being done in the coming 6-12 months. If you disagree and want to see it open, please re-open.
Folks, this task has been open for a while and I was the one suggesting it and hoping we can bring on onboard. A few things have changed since then which makes me think it's fine to decline this task:
- We have some option to ask for UX advice from WMF.
- We have been willing to argue for funding for design resources and while not the same, a similar approach can be done on a case by case basis for our UX needs.

@Effeietsanders I'll mark this as resolved. Reopen if you disagree.

@Volker_E can you share an image of how the landing page look like with these tweets? (I'm not 100% sure about the exact design of the MVP:). The design may have some impact on our response.
@Volker_E how about the following:
For blog tagline: "More than 250,000 photos of the world's monuments were uploaded in 2018 to improve Wikipedia."
For the button: "Explore the winning photos"
@Volker_E we should use that space for different calls to action or special announcements. As you say, the current message is not relevant at this point in time. The most important thing we want people to do now when they come to the website is to see the announcement about the international winners of Wiki Loves Monuments 2018. I don't have the full picture of what the blog looks like at this stage (MVP) though. If that message is not redundant, I would say: "Explore the winning photos" on the button, remove the message under the button and leave the left-hand-side empty. Or, just leave the full bar empty if the winners are visible in the bottom of it anyway.

Hi @Pginer-WMF. Thanks for the logo recommendations. We did one pass over them and here is our feedback.
Nov 20 2018
@Pginer-WMF , @Volker_E: Thank you very much for the conversations last week. We discussed the options we have for the logo in the international team and here is how we would like to proceed with the logo and the blog.
- We would like to keep the current WLM logo. However, Pau recommended that if we go down this path, we ask you to make the current logo compatible with WikimediaUI Style Guide. This can mean making the logo two-dimensional, and you may want to make other changes to it. @Pginer-WMF: is this something you can help us with?
- We would like the current logo (after update and alignment with WikimediaUI Style Guide) to be shown on wikilovesmonuments.org. Pau mentioned that there are likely ways to do this without having to do a major redesign which would be great.

I hope so. ;)

Hi all. I mentioned this in another post, mention it here as well for visibility. We need some time before finalizing logo changes. One requirement that we have for the logo is for it to be language independent (it's better not to have letters in it). With this, I would expect the current visual to be something fun that we can use on the blog or in some of our communications, but let's please keep the current WLM photo on the blog until we have more time to discuss things in details.

@Volker_E We are not ready to push out changes to the brand, yet. We need to have a way to expose the current WLM logo on the new website somewhere, or I will need time to discuss this with the team (I prefer the former as the latter may take some time). This has implications for WLM across many countries and we need to take this decision very carefully.

correct. we shall decline it.

I'd say let's throw it in 2019 under Ideas to explore, whenever we manage to have that board open.
Aug 24 2018
It's fair to say so.

Yes, please.
I have not heard back from the local team for a while now. will update if this changes.

@DStrine what are the timelines you're looking into for setting aside time for this? Knowing how long you expect to need time before you can pick up this task can help us understand if we have to look into other means to answer the questions we have in the meantime. We don't want to start new endeavors to get answers to our basic campaign related questions unless they're absolutely needed as they will take a lot of volunteer resources. Given that this task has been open since 2015, I'm concerned that if we don't set some timeline on our ends, this will be left open for at least another year or two.
@Milimetric Hashing out the first step of what's needed from the community organizer end is relatively straightforward if we can understand better the limitations from the privacy perspective on your end. On the community organizer end, we can think of a relatively simple model to start from: On a daily basis output something along these lines: date, banner_name, project, sampling rate, number of impressions.

I moved this to 2018's. @Lokal_Profil feel free to move to resolve if done. I /think/ we have some more work on this front, if I recall correctly.

This was for the Barcelona hackathon. I'm not sure what's the best way to close it. blanking now. :/

@Theklan Thanks for the ping and my apologies for the delay. This has been on my todo list, I just had a lot of things going on for months now. At any rate, I'm finalizing the survey that will go to wikilovesmonuments public list in the coming days. Looking forward to receiving your input.

@m.hekmat this is one of the tasks that is related to our goal for 2018, to make documentation and basic visual assets for organizing the contest more easily available to local organizers. No action needed, just be aware.

@Effeietsanders the awards reimbursements are in process. Sabine is on top of them. I'll call this resolved. Feel free to re-open if I missed something.
