Another piece from my first year at New3dge Concept Art, this was done during Danar Worya's scifi class. I wanted to do a base whose main function is resource extraction, and I chose to design it integrated with the location it's mining from. I had a great time in the class and really enjoyed learning about Danar's process!

- Refinery At a time when resources are becoming scarce on many planets, there is a special planet with a yellow substance. It has a special substance in liquid and granular form, from which enormous energy can be gained. For this reason refineries have been built all over the planet to mine it. Here is a piece I made for an art challenge at work. I used substance painter for some of the textures. Also a couple of Megascan textures/assets for the rocks/ground. HDRI from HDRI Haven. Post was done in Photoshop. I was inspired by Cuba Lee’s concept art. Please let me know what you think!
