Description
MANUAL PLATE TRANSPORTING APPARATUS
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention is related with the transporting plates that can be moved by man power in the production workshop in an ergonomic manner manual plate handling apparatus designed to prevent possible finger jamming when placing on the floor.
The invention is especially related with grasping the handle with the hand and pulling it upwards, rotating around the joint, applying pressure to the plate located between it and the lower jaw, manual plate handling apparatus with upper jaw ensuring the plate is held firmly.
STATE OF THE ART
In production workshops, especially in heavy industry, large sheet metal plates are generally handled by cranes. Here, small sheet plates can also be transported manually.
Conventional truss systems are available for manually transporting glass and wood in the current technique. However, these systems lack a safe structure for handling metal materials partially heavier than wood and glass. Moreover; glass and wood cannot be transported parallel to the ground with the existing apparatus.
In cases where no apparatus is used in the current technique, technicians lift parts of certain weight directly by holding them with their hands and this creates unsafe and non-ergonomic working environment.
In the current technique, it is used with horizontal plate lifting apparatus together with chain sling and overhead crane to lift high weight plates. These methods are far from practical and increase the workload.
Technicians in the current technique, they can expose to cuts and injuries on their hands due to burrs, protrusions or sharp corners on the part while moving the plates.
In the current technique, while leaving the plate on the ground, the fingers can jam between the piece and the ground. For this reason it may result with finger and nail injuries.
Conventional wood and glass handling apparatus used in the current technique, do not provide a safe handling and gripping opportunity for heavy metal plates.
Consequently, In order to solve the above-mentioned problems existing in the current art, the need for a new economical, convenient, practical plate handling apparatus and the insufficiency of the existing solutions made compulsory to make a progress in the relevant technical field.
PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION
The current invention is related with manual handling apparatus designed to prevent possible finger jamming while placing the plate on the ground and to handle plates that can be handled by man power in the production workshop developed to bring new advantages to the relevant technical field and to remove disadvantages stated above to handle them in an ergonomic fashion.
The most significant purpose of the invention, is to ensure lifting plates manually in an easy manner. In addition, while the technician uses this apparatus to lift plates of certain weight is to be protected from cuts, squeezing and injuries that may occur in the hand.
Another purpose of the invention is to ensure a practical and safe grasping by gaining a
solid grip with the handle made of non-slip paint, and the ability to make practical gripping movements with the intermediate arm. Hold-release movement can be made with minimum effort.
Other significant purpose of the invention, is that with its articulated structure, the upper jaw griping the plate in a balanced way, reducing the occupational safety risk by minimizing the slip during the transport of the plate by ensuring maximum plate grip with the serrated structure of the lower and upper jaws.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In this detailed description, preferred structuring of the manual plate handling apparatus are described only for a better understanding of the subject and without any limiting effect.
Manual plate handling apparatus and its details, which is the subject of the invention, are illustrated in Figures 1-4. In our invention, the handle (10) is grasped with the area between the thumb and index finger of our hand and the distance between the lower (40) and upper (50) jaws is opened by pushing the intermediate arm (30) with the middle finger. The apparatus is pushed under the side of the relevant plate (A). The handle (10) is then fully grasped with the hand and the plate is lifted so that it is parallel to the ground.
In order for the plate (A) to be lifted parallel to the ground, it is imperative to use at least 2 apparatus at the same time. The operation can be performed by 2 or more people if 1 person cannot reach due to the plate (A) dimensions.
When the handle (10) is grasped by hand and pulled upwards as shown in Figure -3 the movable arm (20) transmits the movement to the upper jaw (50). As a result of this movement, the upper jaw (50) rotates around the joint (70) and begins to press the plate (A) as seen in figure - 4. Meanwhile, the lower jaw (40) moves upwards and the upper jaw (50) moves downwards, creating pressure on the plate (A). With thanks to reverse moment created around this hinge (70), plate will be kept inside the jaws unless the handle (10) is released or the plate is left somewhere. Here, the upper jaw (50) rotates around the pin (80) and applies pressure to the plate (A) in such a way that it fully grasps. In addition, the carrier shaft (60) mutually connects the lower (40) and upper (50) jaws. It is mounted over the intermediate arm (30).
After the plate is placed in the desired place, the distance between the lower (40) and upper (50) jaws is opened by pushing the intermediate arm (30) and apparatus is removed from the plate (A).
The protection scope of this application is identified in the requests part and it is clear that an expert can reveal the innovation revealed in the invention by using similar structures and/or apply this structure to other similar purposes used in the related art with an technique not to be limited with those described above described for sampling purpose. Therefore, it is obvious that such structuring will lack the criteria of innovation, and especially of overcoming the state of the art.
Claims
1- The invention is related with the transporting plates that can be moved by man power in the production workshop in an ergonomic manner manual plate handling apparatus designed to prevent possible finger jamming when placing on the floor, and it is characterized by; by grasping the handle (10) with the hand and pulling it upwards, and including an upper jaw (50) rotating around the joint (70) and applies pressure to the plate (A) located between it and the lower jaw (40) and ensuring the plate (A) is firmly held.
2 It is a manual plate handling apparatus in accordance with Request 1, it is characterized by including a movable arm (20) taking the movement from the handle (10) and transmits it to the upper jaw (50).
3- It is a manual plate handling apparatus in accordance with Request 1, it is characterized by; including a lower jaw (40) enabling the plate (A) to be held by applying pressure to the plate (A) together with the upper jaw (50).
4 It is a manual plate handling apparatus in accordance with Request 1, it is characterized by including an intermediate arm (30) enabling the distance between the lower (40) and upper (50) jaws to be opened by pushing, and the apparatus to be removed from the plate (A).
5 It is a manual plate handling apparatus in accordance with Request 1, it is characterized by; including a carrier shaft (60) mounted on the intermediate arm (30) and mutually linking the lower (40) and upper (50) jaws.
6- It is a manual plate handling apparatus in accordance with Request 1, it is characterized by pressure application of the upper jaw (50) to the plate (A) by turning around the pin (80).
