Description

ITEM OF JEWELRY, PARTICULARLY WITH VARIABLE AESTHETICS
The present invention relates to an item of jewelry, particularly with variable aesthetics.
In the sector of gold ware and of costume jewelry, a multitude of items of jewelry and valuables in general are known.
Many of these items of jewelry are supplied with and/or can be customized over time by virtue of a multitude of decorative elements, depicting letters and/or symbols in general, which the user can draw on in order to indulge his or her taste or, for example, express the message that he or she wishes to send with the item of jewelry.
Typically an item of jewelry of this type consists of a main body, shaped like a rope, which acts as a guide and along which decorative elements can be made to slide which are substantially spherical or prismatic perforated in shape, and which are in each instance selected by the user and threaded on the main body.
Items of jewelry of this type generally consist of necklaces and bracelets that, by their nature, have a considerable thickness, and which cannot have mechanisms, such as hinges or the like, which would block the sliding of the decorative elements along the main body.
However, other types of item of jewelry exist with reduced thickness with respect to the types described above, such as arm bangles, which have different geometric peculiarities from the above types, so as to maintain a reduced thickness while having flat and wide geometries.
Such type of item of jewelry does not allow a quick and rapid customization like the items of jewelry described previously; it requires permanent customization using welding or adhesive bonding of the various possible decorative elements.
The aim of the present invention consists in providing an item of jewelry that makes it possible to have an appearance that can be varied over time at the discretion of the user while being able to maintain reduced transverse thickness and flat and wide geometries typical of arm bangles.
Within this aim, an object of the present invention consists in providing an item of jewelry the appearance of which can be easily varied by the user by way of easy and intuitive operations without the need for specialist skills.
Another object of the present invention consists in providing an item of jewelry that offers the widest guarantees of functionality and durability over time.
This aim and these and other objects which will become better apparent hereinafter are achieved by an item of jewelry, particularly with variable aesthetics, which is characterized in that it comprises a cage-like structure constituted by at least two mutually parallel and opposite tracks, in such a way as to define two mutually facing grooves, and by ornamental elements which can be inserted selectively along said at least two tracks.
Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become better apparent from the detailed description of a preferred, but not exclusive, embodiment of an item of jewelry, particularly with variable aesthetics, according to the invention, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings wherein:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the item of jewelry according to the invention in the open state;
Figure 2 is a side view of the item of jewelry shown in Figure 1;
Figure 3 is a plan view from above of the item of jewelry shown in the previous figures;
Figure 4 is a perspective view of the item of jewelry shown in the previous figures in the open state, embellished during the insertion of the decorative elements into the cage-like structure.
With reference to the figures, the item of jewelry, particularly with variable aesthetics, generally designated by the reference numeral 1, comprises a cage-like structure 2 constituted by at least two mutually parallel and opposite tracks 3 and 4, in such a way as to define_two mutually facing grooves 5 and 6, and by ornamental elements 7 which can be inserted selectively along the two tracks 3 and 4.
Conveniently, the cage-like structure 2 comprises transverse connection means 8 which are interposed between the tracks 3 and 4 for the structural stiffening of the cage-like structure 2.
In the embodiment proposed, the item of jewelry 1 consists of an arm bangle, selectively made with precious, semiprecious and/or non-precious materials, of the type with a hinge so as to define two half-bracelet parts 9 and 10 which are mutually hinged at a first end thereof.
Furthermore, means are comprised for the quick engagement and disengagement 11 of the two parts 9 and 10 and are defined at the two second ends thereof for the opening and closing of the arm bangle.
Advantageously, at least one of the two parts 9 and 10 defines the cage-like structure 2 and there is at least one ornamental element 7.
In more detail, the part 9 that defines the cage-like structure 2 ends, at the second end, with a box-like body 12 that defines a passage channel 13 that communicates with the two grooves 5 and 6 in order to allow the insertion and the sliding of the one or more ornamental elements 7.
In the embodiment proposed, the means for quick engagement and disengagement 11 are per se known and therefore will not be described in detail except for the fact that they are configured in such a manner as to obstruct the passage channel 13, with the bangle in its closed configuration, in such a way as to prevent the accidental escape of the one or more decorative elements 7.
Conveniently, the transverse connection means 8 comprise at least one transverse element that is interposed between the at least two tracks 3 and 4 externally to the two grooves 5 and 6 in such a manner as to allow the free sliding of the one or more ornamental elements 7 along the two grooves 5 and 6.
Advantageously, there is a plurality of ornamental elements 7 which can be selectively selected by the user and can be inserted in the cage-like structure 2 along the two tracks 3 and 4 depending on his or her desired aesthetic liking.
In the embodiment proposed, the ornamental elements 7 can depict letters and symbols in general and they have a flat strip-like shape so that they can be made to pass through the box-like body 12 and slide along the grooves 5 and 6.
Operation of the item of jewelry 1 can be easily understood from the foregoing description.
In particular, it should be noted that in its open configuration the individual ornamental elements 7 can be made to slide freely into and out of the cage-like structure 2, according to the taste of the user, while remaining trapped inside it once the item of jewelry 1 passes to its closed configuration.
In practice it has been found that the item of jewelry, according to the invention, solves the technical problem explained above in that it makes it possible to vary its appearance according to the taste of the user while retaining the canonical proportions of arm bangles unchanged.
The item of jewelry, particularly with variable aesthetics, thus conceived, is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the appended claims.
Moreover, all the details may be substituted by other, technically equivalent elements.
In practice, the materials used, as well as the contingent shapes and dimensions, may be any according to the requirements and to the state of the art.
The disclosures in Italian Patent Application No. 102020000007570 from which this application claims priority are incorporated herein by reference.
Where technical features mentioned in any claim are followed by reference signs, those reference signs have been included for the sole purpose of increasing the intelligibility of the claims and accordingly, such reference signs do not have any limiting effect on the interpretation of each element identified by way of example by such reference signs.
