Abstract
The invention relates to a mat susceptible to being used to carry out physical exercise that is capable of recording all the exercises that are carried out thereon and that comprises a base with a sensor system and a controller comprising a screen showing the record of physical exercise in the form of numerical values, and a computer program that processes the exercise carried out on the training surface emitted by the sensor system and converts it into numerical values sent to the screen. Furthermore, the mat comprises a connection to the electrical power or a battery to supply current to the sensor system and the controller.
Description
MULTIPLE TRAINING MAT
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to a mat susceptible to being used to carry out physical exercise that is capable of registering all the movements that are carried out thereon and comprises a base with a sensor system and a controller.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
There are currently lightweight and flexible mats and pads of different thicknesses that are resistant to blows and that serve to carry out any type of physical activity or exercise thereon, preventing the user from feeling any type of discomfort that the ground would cause in the absence thereof.
The lower portion of said mats and pads comprise a film of thermal insulating material with respect to the ground. By using said mats and pads, the user avoids the sensation of cold, heat or humidity from the ground during physical exercise or physical activity.
Furthermore, said mats and pads are light and flexible and can be easily transported, which means they are not susceptible to being used outdoors.
However, the mats and pads currently available to the user do not provide the user with feedback information on the activities carried out thereon and/or the effectiveness of the same in the case of training.
Therefore, taking into account the previous documents, it is necessary to find alternatives that are aimed at helping the user track their physical activity and/or training.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a mat developed so that it records the activities that are carried out thereon, susceptible to being used to carry out physical exercise, characterised in that it comprises:
• a base made of flexible and light material,
• a sensor system comprising at least one sensor that records the physical exercise of the user and it is located on the base, forming the training area that has sensors that record the activities that are carried out thereon, the sensors are located in the areas of contact with the user.
• a controller comprising
° a screen displaying the record of physical exercise in the form of numerical values, and
° a computer program that processes the exercise carried out on the training area emitted by the sensor system and converts it into numerical values sent to the screen; and
• a connection to the electrical power or a battery to supply current to the sensor system and the controller.
The base is of a suitable size for the other elements to be located thereon. It is a base made from a flexible and light material, any material known by a person skilled in the art.
In a preferred embodiment of the mat of the present invention, the base of the mat of the present invention can comprise more than one layer of different light and flexible materials.
In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the base can comprise at least one layer in the lower portion thereof formed by an insulating, flexible and light material. This layer is in contact with the ground and prevents the humidity, heat and cold of the same from passing from the ground to the user during physical activity, training or physical exercise.
The mat of the present invention has the capacity to record all the movements that are carried out thereon, any type of physical exercise that is carried out thereon, specifically on the area of contact.
The physical exercise or training is carried out on the training area and is recorded through the sensor system with the help of the controller. Said sensor system comprises at least one sensor, preferably comprising more than one sensor.
The controller records the physical activity or training and the data viewing screen provides the information of the physical activity as a result of a computer program that processes the exercise carried out on the work area and converts it into numerical values.
The information that can be read on the screen or the viewing data system is, for example, the following:
• Distance travelled
• Weight of the user
• Kcal burnt after the physical activity or training
The mat of the present invention can be used outdoors given that the total
weight thereof is low and it is made from a light and flexible material, meaning it can be folded and easily transported. The integration of the screen, controller and battery facilitates the portability of the mat and the use thereof outdoors.
Preferably, the mat of the present invention comprises a battery such as a long- life battery.
Preferably, the battery used is a rechargeable battery, meaning that once the charge has been depleted, the battery is recharged in order to reuse the present invention. This entails an environmental and economic advantage for the user.
In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the battery is a solar cell that is charged with sunlight, which entails an additional advantage to the use thereof outside.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
FIG 1.- A plan view of a mat for physical exercise.
PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
A preferred embodiment of the invention based on the figures shown is described below.
FIG 1 shows a multiple training mat comprising the following elements:
(1) Controller
(2) Viewing screen or system
(3) Sensor system forming the training area
(4) Base
The battery that provides electrical current to (1), (2) and (3) is not shown in FIG 1 but it is an essential part for the operation thereof.
The mat is formed by a base (4) comprising a system of 4 movement sensors (3) that form the training area of the user. Said sensors are connected to the controller (1) and the screen (2), the latter providing the information recorded on the physical activity or physical exercise carried out. It is a physical training tool on which the user can carry out cardiovascular exercise such as walking, jogging or power walking. Each step that the user takes on the mat, in the training area, is recorded and with the help of the controller and the suitable computer program, the screen reflects the results in the form of distance in any metric unit whether it be inches, feet, kilometers, centimeters, meters, etc. Furthermore, the mat also records the weight in kg of the user, such that the screen, with the help of the aforementioned computer program,
converts the physical activity carried out by the user in the form of distance and depending on the weight thereof, into kcal burnt showing the user the result of their cardiovascular training.
