Ballistic body protection

The invention is concerned with a ballistic body protection for the protection of persons against terrorist attacks in particular. In particular, it will focus on a threat to long-firearms.

To protect persons against ballistic threats a variety of protective vests is known. The typical structure of such a protection system lies in a textile carrier (casing) with integrated pockets for receiving the ballistic protection. The chest and back protection plate 2, 3 are connected to each other via shoulder straps 6 and side straps 7. In particular, the shoulder straps 6 form a support system 8 of the protective device 1.
