- the present disclosure is directed to portable beverage containers and, more particularly, to a portable beverage container that includes a membrane for equalizing the pressure within the container with the pressure of the ambient air external to the container.
- Portable beverage containers such as tumblers, mugs, and the like, are commonly used by consumers who want to drink water, coffee, tea, or other liquids when walking, driving, or otherwise traveling between two different places.
- Portable beverage containers typically include a container body and a lid that is removably coupled to the container body and includes a fluid aperture or drink hole. When the lid is removed, the container body can be emptied or filled with the desired liquid (e.g., water) by the consumer. Conversely, when the lid is coupled to the container body, the consumer can drink the liquid by tipping the container in a manner that allows the beverage to pass through the drink hole.

Abstract
L'invention concerne un récipient de boisson portatif (100) qui comprend un corps de récipient (104) définissant un intérieur conçu pour stocker un liquide et un ensemble couvercle (108) couplé au corps de récipient. L'ensemble couvercle comprend une base (112) couplée de manière amovible au corps de récipient, un élément pour boire (124) disposé de manière amovible dans une ouverture de base (148) de la base (112), et une chambre d'aération (120) au moins partiellement définie par la base. La chambre d'aération est agencée en communication fluidique avec l'atmosphère extérieure au récipient de boisson et l'intérieur du corps de récipient par l'intermédiaire d'une première ouverture d'aération (152) de la base. L'ensemble couvercle comprend également une membrane (200) placée au-dessus de la première ouverture d'aération.
