Abstract

The invention relates to a pillow that is intended primarily to allow a user to enjoy a long and comfortable period of sleep by adopting the anatomical foetal position, preventing compression of the upper limb trapped by the weight of the body and of the head, preventing this position from shifting following involuntarily movements during sleep and, additionally, attenuating irritating noises (snoring).

Description

SPECIAL ANATOMIC PILLOW

The invention relates to the design and manufacture of a sleeping pillow of special characteristics in its design and structure that allow to maintain a posture from the beginning of the dream and for the entire duration of this (Fetal Position) producing in the individual who is sleeping , the following benefits: Allow to maintain the irrigation and adequate blood flow of the upper limbs when adopting this position avoiding its numbness and pain. Allow adequate stretching of the spine by mimicking the position of the fetus in the womb and decrease the sounds produced during sleep by moving the tongue backwards (snoring).

Currently, known sleeping pillows vary in size, shape, composition and are mostly made to be used during sleep in a ventral cube position (face down) or dorsal position (face up), there are other types of pillows made to provide comfort in other positions such as so-called backrests, cushions, bearings or cushions that are not used for the act of sleeping itself but to allow the comfort of individuals in other situations.

The technical problem posed was: What to do to be able to sleep by adopting a position (the fetal position) and manage to remain in that position for as long as the sleep lasts, achieving with this position the adequate stretching of the spine and thus avoiding the pains of Back so frequent in people of legal age, what to do to reduce the intensity and frequency of the sounds produced when sleeping due to the recoil of the tongue as well as the periods of sleep apnea and what to do to avoid the numbness and pain of the upper limb compressed by adopting said fetal position.

The special Anatomical Pillow allows an optimal functional and postural well-being during sleep to the individual who uses it due to the ergonomic design implemented in it, so we have to; the inclined internal walls act as an i wedge. preventing the thorax and upper abdomen from rotating thus losing the original position; the tunnels on each side of the main arch prevent the crushing of the upper limb that passes through it and thus achieving a comfortable position for the person by avoiding the numbness and pain caused by the lack of circulation; The height of the pillow and its consistency prevent the head from falling, thus achieving the conformation of a single continuous axis that involves the spine.

The anatomical pillow of special design is made with materials of different hardness to bring comfort, anatomical and functional well-being to the person who uses it at bedtime.

Claims

1. It is an anatomical pillow with a special design that allows you to sleep in a lateral position (fetal position) and not lose your position for the duration of your sleep, this is due to the wedge position of the internal side walls that, when in contact with the thorax, anterior and posterior stabilize it, preventing it from rotating due to weight and/or movement. (FIGURE 1 )
