- D2D Device-to-Device
- LTE-A cellular wireless mobile communication system
- a method of performing communication without interfering with each other is not overlapping with each other separately from radio resources used by a cellular terminal (in the present invention, a cellular terminal refers to a terminal that performs existing terminal-to-base station communication, not terminal-to-terminal communication).
- a resource may be used for D2D communication, or a method of using the same resource used by the cellular terminal by the D2D terminal but not interfering with each other as much as possible may be considered.
- FDD frequency division duplexing
- the forward and the reverse directions are distinguished by using different frequency resources.
- a method of using a reverse frequency resource as a D2D among forward and backward resources is more preferred. This is because in the FDD system, more types of signals are multiplexed in the forward frequency resource than in the reverse frequency resource, so it is difficult to allocate resources separately for the D2D communication.
- the forward traffic tends to be higher than that of the reverse direction, and since the overhead transmitted in the forward direction is higher than that of the reverse direction, the frequency usage burden on the forward resource is reverse. It is generally greater than the frequency usage burden on the resource. Therefore, when forward resources are allocated and used for D2D communication, it may be difficult to balance the use of forward and reverse frequency resources due to a greater burden on the forward resources.
- the next problem may be a problem of how to distinguish existing cellular communication resources and D2D communication resources in the reverse resource.
- the existing cellular communication resources and D2D communication resources may be divided into orthogonal methods such as time division multiplexing (TDM) and frequency division multiplexing (FDM), and additionally, non-orthogonal methods that reuse the same resources. It may also be possible.
- orthogonal method is preferred for at least UE discovery operation, and TDM method is more preferred among them.
- the TDM scheme eliminates the need for the base station to receive the cellular signal in the period where the D2D resource is allocated and, conversely, the D2D transmission does not exist in the period in which the cellular communication is transmitted. This is because noise is not affected in performing the cellular communication.
- FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating a situation in which D2D transmission and existing cellular transmission are multiplexed using a TDM scheme.
- 201, 202, and 203 of FIG. 2 show that cellular subframes and D2D subframes are TDM in time.
- Cellular communication is established in the sections 201 and 203 and D2D transmission is established in the sections 202.
- the D2D subframe of 202 corresponds to the appearance of a cell of 210, and the 211 base station that manages the cell of 210 does not participate in cellular communication and only D2D communication such as transmission and reception of discovery signals between only 212, 213, and 214 D2D terminals. This will be done.
- the cellular subframes of 201 and 203 correspond to the appearance of the cell of 220.
- the base station of 221 which manages the cell of 220, participates in cellular communication and transmits / receives for reverse communication with cellular terminals of 222, 223, and 224. Done.
- the base station of 211 and the base station of 221 are the same base station and the role of the base station is changed according to time. That is, in the case of 211, since the base station does not receive any backward reception, since the base station is not affected by the D2D, and there is no cellular transmission, the base station does not have any influence due to cellular transmission in the D2D transmission.
- the base station receives the reverse data on the cellular data, but since the D2D UE does not transmit the D2D, there is no influence of the reverse reception from the D2D.
- the LTE system does not assume synchronization between base stations as a necessary condition. In other words, it is possible that the synchronization is not matched between different base stations. If two base stations are out of synchronization, the base stations may configure TDM multiplexing of cellular resources and D2D resources in different forms. Of course, even if two base stations are synchronized, it is also possible to configure TDM multiplexing of cellular resources and D2D resources in different forms. In this case, it means that a cell located next to a section in which one cell is configured as a D2D subframe may be configured as a cellular subframe. In FIG. 3, the above described situation and the problems thereof will be described.
- 3 is a diagram illustrating a case where TDM multiplexing of cellular resources and D2D resources is set in different forms between two base stations that are not synchronized.
- 300 illustrates a time base of the base station 1 321 and is configured of a cellular subframe of 301 and a D2D subframe of 302 through TDM.
- 310 shows the time base of the base station 2 322 located next to the base station 1 321, and consists of 311 cellular subframes and 312 D2D subframes through TDM.
- the section of 302 and the section of 312 do not coincide, and assuming that the current time point is 320 of FIG. 3, base station 1 321 sets up a D2D subframe, while base station 2 322 You will set up a cellular subframe.
- the D2D terminals 323, 324, and 325 belonging to the base station 1 321 transmit and receive the D2D discovery signals 329 and 330.
- the cellular terminal 326 belonging to the base station 2 326 may transmit the reverse cellular signal 327 to the base station 2 326
- the D2D terminal 331 belonging to the base station 2 326 may transmit the D2D discovery signal.
- the D2D terminal 325 is located at the boundary between the base station 1 321 and the base station 2 322.
- the discovery signal 330 When the discovery signal 330 is transmitted in accordance with the operation of the base station 1 321, the signal eventually becomes the base station 2 ( 322 is received in the form of interference, such as 328, so that base station 2 322 receives a decrease in reception performance when the signal 327 of the cellular terminal 326 is received. (Assuming they use the same frequency resources)
- FIG. 3 Another problem of FIG. 3 is that D2D terminals included in other base stations are difficult to find each other because transmission and reception of discovery signals are impossible. That is, in FIG. 3, since the subframes in which the D2D terminal 324 and the D2D terminal 331 transmit and receive a discovery signal are different from each other, the discovery signals cannot be received from each other.
- the present invention has described a problem in that transmission and reception of a discovery signal is difficult between terminals included in base stations that have configured TDM multiplexing of cellular resources and D2D resources in different forms.
- the power control procedure of the D2D terminal and the operation of the base station and the terminal, and the D2D discovery operation between the base stations become difficult to solve the problem that the D2D transmission degrades the reception performance of the cellular communication of the neighbor cell.
- the operation of the base station and the terminal to solve the problem will be described.
- the multiplexing of D2D resources and cellular resources assumes a TDM scheme. Accordingly, the TDM multiplexing method of the D2D resource and the cellular resource may be different between the base stations, and the discovery signal transmitted using the D2D resource may act as a noise to the cellular communication of the adjacent base station, thereby degrading the performance of the cellular communication. It is described.
- Embodiment 1 of the present invention a method of controlling the strength of a discovery signal of a serving base station by a D2D terminal will be described. More specifically, in Embodiment 1, the strength of the discovery signal of the D2D user equipment located near the neighboring base station (or neighboring cell) performing cellular communication through the power control of D2D in the serving base station (or serving cell) is determined.
- the present invention provides a method of controlling the discovery signal so that the discovery signal does not affect the performance of cellular communication of a neighboring base station. A first embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. 4.
- the base station 401 of FIG. 4 is allocated to a subframe for the D2D discovery signal in the current subframe, and the base station of 411 is assigned to a subframe for cellular communication in the same subframe. Accordingly, the D2D terminals 402, 403, and 404 belonging to the 401 base station transmit a discovery signal using a time-frequency resource determined according to a discovery signal transmission procedure, and simultaneously receive a discovery signal transmitted from another terminal. . In this case, the D2D terminal of the 404 is located between the base station of the 401 and the base station of the 411, so that the D2D discovery signal transmitted by the terminal 404 may be received by the 411 base station with a reception power that cannot be ignored by the 411 base station.
- the reception of the D2D discovery signal transmitted by the terminal 404 acts as a noise that is hard to be ignored by the base station 411 in receiving the reverse cellular data transmitted by the cellular terminal 412 belonging to the base station 411, resulting in the reverse cellular transmission performance of the terminal 412. Can fall.
- the method for minimizing the influence on the cellular data reception performance of the 411 base station may control a transmission power of the D2D discovery signal of the 404 terminal to adjust the reception power of the D2D discovery signal by the 411 base station to a predetermined value or less. . That is, the 404 terminal minimizes the amount of noise reaching the 411 base station by reducing the transmission power of the D2D discovery signal for smooth cellular communication of the neighbor base station 411.

- the UE transmits the D2D discovery signal without additional power control in step 908.
- the terminal controls the D2D discovery signal transmission power using Equation 3 or Equation 4 in step 906.
- step 907 After the transmission of the D2D discovery signal of the terminal is performed in step 907 using the determined transmission power, the operation of the terminal is completed in step 909.
- the D2D resource and the cellular resource are multiplexed by the TDM scheme. Even though the configuration is different between the cells, a part where the D2D resources overlap with the time axis may occur. Therefore, when a UE adjacent to an adjacent cell transmits a D2D discovery signal using a subframe in which both cells are configured as D2D resources, the discovery signal may have an effect on cellular communication, and this embodiment will be described below. This will be described in detail.
- the UE belonging to the serving cell selects one discovery signal resource in a random manner from the entire D2D subframe configured in the serving cell, that is, the resource to which the discovery signal can be transmitted, and transmits the discovery signal using the resource.
- the UE may find a resource having the smallest received power among all resources and transmit a discovery signal by using the resource.

- the discovery signal resource is selected in consideration of the D2D subframe location 1003 of the serving cell, and the most suitable discovery signal is selected from all 1003 resources to transmit the discovery signal of the UE.
- the discovery signal resource is selected in consideration of the D2D subframe location 1013 of the serving cell, and the most suitable discovery signal is selected from all 1013 resources to transmit the discovery signal of the UE.
- the UE selects the discovery signal resource only in a portion where the D2D resources of the two cells shown in 1020 overlap with each other without selecting the discovery signal resource from all resources. .
