Abstract
Method for preparing a catalyst, comprising submitting a mixture of a transition metal compound and a vanadium compound to a combustion reaction; optionally the mixture comprises an additive. In certain embodiments, the catalyst comprises vanadium. It can be used in oxidation reactions such as for example oxidation of water to liberate oxygen.
