Therefore, the capacity of the secondary battery using the metal-based electrode active material decreases rapidly as the charge-discharge cycle progresses, and the cycle Life is shortened.
- an oxide of a metal such as Si and Sn is used as an electrode active material to mitigate cracking and micronization of the electrode active material generated when the metal-based electrode active material is used.

- the third material is also formed on the surface of at least one of the first material and the second material.
- Such a third material serves to prevent electron transfer from one or more of the first material and the second material to the electrolyte during initial charging to decompose the electrolyte, thereby forming an SEI layer, which is irreversible and prevents a very large initial capacity reduction.

- the first two cycles were charged and discharged at 0.1, and the third and 49th were charged and discharged at 0.5C.
- the charging and discharging was completed and disassembled in the state of charging (with lithium ions in the negative electrode), and the thickness was measured to calculate the electrode thickness change rate.
- Secondary batteries according to Examples 3-1 to 3-4 are provided with an anode using an anode active material coated on the surface of nanosilicon and graphite composite, that is, nanosilicon alone or nanosilicon and graphite simultaneously, thereby providing nanosilicon of the anode. Since the volume expansion can be efficiently controlled and the side reaction with the electrolyte can be minimized, it can be seen that the life characteristics can be improved and the electrode thickness change rate can be reduced as compared with the secondary battery of Comparative Example 3-1.
