Abstract
The invention relates to a superconducting device, comprising an electrical conductor (4a, 4b) that can be cooled by means of a cryogen (3) and comprising a syntactic foam (5) for thermal and electrical insulation, and to the use of a syntactic foam (5) as an electrical and thermal insulation material in superconducting devices (1).
