Abstract

An opening/closing device couples first unit and second unit of a portable device and allows the second unit to be slid with respect to the first unit to open or close at least a part of the first unit. The opening/closing device includes a first gear rotating along with the first unit, a second gear rotating along with the second unit, a third gear connecting the first gear to the second gear; a rotating body to which the respective gears are coupled, and a connection part rotating along with the third gear and connected to the second unit such that the second unit is slidably moved with respect to the connection part, the respective gears being coupled to the rotating body so as to freely rotate.
