- PBB TE Provide Backbone Bridge Traffic Engineering
- B-MAC Backbone Media Access Control
- B-VLAN backbone layer virtual local area network
- the channel acts as a service transmission tunnel, and the PBB TE tunnel can carry multiple PBB services. Used to solve traffic engineering problems in Ethernet. Different transport channels can be marked by different B-MAC+B-VLAN combinations for the deployment of traffic engineering to provide optional transport channels.

- the link layer discovery protocol (LLDP) is extended, so that the nodes of the PBB TE network can perform automatic network topology discovery and resource information management through the extended LLDP packet.
- LLDP is a network topology discovery protocol based on management layer technology, which enables the discovery of devices and physical topologies.
- the protocol uses the IEEE slow protocol, which is characterized by transmitting no more than five protocol frames per second to collect the chassis identification (Chassis ID) and port identification (Port ID) information of the node station.
- the time to live (TTL) carried in the Type Length Value (TLV) indicates the storage time of the information, allowing the information to be automatically aged; when the device is down, the corresponding information is fast. Clear.
- the framework of the LLDP protocol is shown in Figure 1.
- the LLDP agent (LLDP agent) includes a receiving module and a sending module to implement the interaction of MIB information bases between different nodes in the network.
- the main parameters involved in the LLDP protocol include the rack ID, port ID, and lifetime. It may also include a vendor-specific MIB ( Vendor Specific MIB).
- Table 1 The LLDP packet data unit (PDU) format is shown in Table 2: Table 2 Currently in the TLVs already defined in the standard, there are the following mandatory items:
- the Chassis ID TLV can indicate the identity of the rack, the physical interface/backplane identification on the rack, the system's MAC address, and the system's management address.
- Port ID TLV can indicate the port ID, the MAC address of the port, the network management address to which the port belongs, and the IP address corresponding to the port.
- the TTL TLV can indicate the maximum retention time of information sent by LLDP. If you need to delete the corresponding information, set the TTL to 0 to send LLDP packets.
- End of LLDP PDU The TLV is used to mark the end of the PDU message.
- TLVs there are a range of optional TLVs with the following options:
- A) Basic management TLV series including port description TLV, system name TLV, system description TLV (such as system version, operating system type, hardware type, etc.), system capability TLV (as terminal, bridge or router)
- TLV series including port VID TLV, port and VID TLV, VLAN name description TLV, and protocol description TLV.
- IEEE802.3 related TLV series including MAC/PHY configuration/status TLV (self-negotiation capability, full-duplex status description), whether power supply TLV can be provided through twisted pair copper, link aggregation TLV and maximum supported by 802.3 Frame TLV.
- the TLV field setting in the LLDP protocol packet also allows the device vendor to implement various extension functions.
- the LLDP protocol can be extended.
- the specific scheme of the LLDP extension in the embodiment of the present invention is as follows: Add PBB TE-specific automatic topology discovery and corresponding resource information LLDP TLV option , Carry PBB TE network topology / resource related information.
- Specific to the LLDP TLV option The format is shown in Table 3:
- Table 3 Delay Metric is a relative concept, set according to the support of the system. If not supported, it must be set to 0.
