Abstract
This invention provides a process for producing a laminate comprising a cholesteric resin layer, which is less likely to cause a shift of a broader banded reflection spectrum due to a deterioration with the elapse of time, and a circularly polarized light separating sheet comprising the resin layer, and a liquid crystal display device. In the production process, the resin layer having cholesteric regularity is formed by a process comprising the step of coating a photopolymerizable composition containing a photopolymerization initiator having an average molar extinction coefficient of not less than 2000 M-1cm-1 at a wavelength of 350 to 400 nm and a photopolymerizable liquid crystal compound having an average molar extinction coefficient of not more than 1500 M-1cm-1 at a wavelength of 350 to 400 nm onto a base material film to form a coating film, and the step of curing the coating film to form a layer of a resin having cholesteric regularity. In this case, the curing of the coating film is carried out in an atmosphere having an oxygen concentration of not more than 1% under conditions of a wavelength range of 350 to 400 nm, an illuminance of not less than 500 mWcm-2, and an integrated quantity of light of not less than 200 mJcm-2.
