Abstract

A bodice (1) for therapeutic use and including a back member (3) and a chest member (2a, 2b) jointly defining two armholes (5). The chest member is divided. The length (1) of the back member (3) in relation to the perimeter of the armhole (5) is in the range of 0.3 to 0.55. At the bottom the chest member is provided with two oblong joinable portions (6a, 6b) projecting towards the center of the bodice. These oblong portions have a length of 0.5 to 1.2 times the length (1) of the back member (3). When the wearer wears such a bodice, the wearer will experience a light, often intermittent massage or stimulation of the ribs located from the lower end of breastbone and approx. a handbreadth downwards. Such a massage or stimulation has turned out to improve the wearer's lung function.
