Abstract

Disclosed is a device for modulating noise in a motor vehicle, comprising a hollow body which is separated into at least two chambers by means of at least one sound-transmitting device. One chamber is connected to a gas-containing part of an internal combustion engine that is disposed in the vehicle via an intake pipe while the other chamber is acoustically coupled to an interior space of the vehicle and/or the space surrounding the vehicle by means of a discharge pipe. Said discharge pipe comprises at least one bifurcation from which at least two branch pipes run to different locations in the interior space and/or the space surrounding the vehicle.

Eine gattungsgemäße Vorrichtung ist aus der DE 44 35 296 AI bekannt. Bei dieser Beaufschlagung schwingt die Membran 7 mit einer für sie typischen Eigenfrequenz, welche durch die in dem Ausgangsraum 9 sich befindliche Luft in die Ausgangsleitung 10 weitergegeben wird. Vorrichtung zur Geräuschgestaltung bei einem Kraftfahrzeug mit einem Hohlkörper, welcher durch wenigstens eine Schallübertragungseinrichtung in wenigstens zwei Räume geteilt ist, wobei ein Raum über eine Eingangsleitung mit einem gasführenden Teil einer in dem Fahrzeug angeordneten Brennkraftmaschine in Verbindung steht, und wobei der andere Raum mittels einer Ausgangsleitung an einem Innenraum des Fahrzeugs und/oder an den das Fahrzeug umgebenden Raum akustisch gekoppelt ist, dadurch gekennze i chnet , daß die Ausgangsleitung (10) wenigstens eine Verzweigung (11) aufweist, von welcher aus wenigstens zwei Zweigleitungen (12,13) zu unterschiedlichen Stellen in dem Innenraum (5) und/oder dem das Fahrzeug umgebenden Raum verlaufen.1.
