Description

The invention relates to a cooling device with at least one cooling space arranged within its heat-insulating housing provided with a door, within which at least one at least largely closed-surface refrigerated goods shelf is provided, below which at least one drawer-like container for storing moisture-containing stored goods, such as fruit, vegetables or the like is arranged.
In the case of cooling devices, it is customary to place drawer-like containers in the form of so-called vegetable trays on the floor of their cooling rooms in order to hold items containing moisture, such as fruit and vegetables or the like. These vegetable trays are arranged below a closed-surface refrigerated goods shelf which, for example, in order to achieve a certain cooling air circulation in the interior of the vegetable tray, are arranged at a distance forming an air gap over the edges of the trays or have closable air inlet openings. In order to remove stored goods stored in the vegetable dish, the access opening under the refrigerated goods shelf, which enables access to the vegetable dish, is to be pulled out of the cold room. This is not only cumbersome, but also leads to uncomfortable pressure points on the stored goods in the case of pressure-sensitive stored goods, such as fruit, due to the often jerky movement of the vegetable compartment. In addition, the vegetable dishes, which are often only equipped with a small container depth due to a compressor niche provided in the rear of the cooling device, are difficult to handle due to the associated poor lateral guiding properties during the operating process. The invention has for its object to improve a container for a cooling device according to the preamble of claim 1.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the container with its portion of its container opening facing the door projects beyond the door-side end of the refrigerated goods shelf and is provided with a cover which can cover at least the projecting portion of its container opening and can be brought out of its covering position.
The solution according to the invention creates the possibility of being able to load and unload the drawer-like container serving as a vegetable dish without having to move it from its rest position. In addition, the cover can be used for storing refrigerated goods, particularly if the container or containers below the refrigerated goods shelf are temporarily not to be used for storing refrigerated goods, so that the storage area within the refrigerated space is not reduced. In addition, the often uncomfortable handling due to the container geometry, by pulling it out of the refrigerator, is only necessary when large-sized items to be refrigerated, such as salad heads or the like, are to be stored.
According to a preferred embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, it is provided that the cover is formed from transparent material.
In this way, even if the container is made of an opaque material, the operator of the refrigerator can easily obtain an overview of the contents stored therein without having to move the container out of its rest position. Furthermore, it is also possible to manufacture the refrigerated goods shelf from opaque material without significantly restricting the possibility of viewing the container space. The transparent cover also allows easy viewing of the container's storage space from above.
According to a further preferred embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, it is provided that the cover can be pivoted from its covering position into its loading position about an axis of rotation arranged at least approximately parallel to the refrigerated goods storage. A cover designed in this way can be moved in a particularly defined and easy-to-move manner using means that are particularly easy to manufacture.
According to a next preferred embodiment of the object of the invention, it is provided that the axis of rotation is provided on the door-side end of the refrigerated goods shelf.
As a result, a unit is created between the refrigerated goods shelf and the cover, which can be handled in a simple manner both in the manufacturing process of the cooling device and at the customer.
The open position for loading the container is defined in a particularly defined manner if, according to a next advantageous embodiment of the object of the invention, it is provided that the cover is limited by stops for the pivoting area.
According to an alternative embodiment of the object of the invention, it is provided that the cover can be inserted under the refrigerated goods shelf for loading the container.
By means of such a measure, the storage surface of the refrigerated goods shelf is freely accessible for loading and unloading the container even when the cover is open.
According to a next preferred embodiment of the object of the invention, it is provided that the cover has half the depth or one third of the depth of the refrigerated goods shelf and is arranged at least substantially over its width.
By designing the cover in this way, the container can be loaded and unloaded unhindered if the refrigerated goods shelf is still of sufficient size.
The storage temperature in the interior of the container can be adapted in a particularly simple manner to the goods stored in each case if, according to a further preferred embodiment of the subject of the invention, it is provided that the refrigerated goods storage on its side facing away from the door with an adjustable panel arrangement is provided to regulate the cold air able to penetrate into the container. The interior of the container and thus the stored goods can be seen particularly well if, according to a last preferred embodiment of the subject of the invention, it is provided that the container is formed from transparent material.
The invention is explained in the following description with reference to an embodiment shown in simplified form in the drawing.

This is lined with an inner cladding 14 produced by non-cutting shaping of a plastic circuit board, which is provided on its side walls 15 with support strips 16 integrally molded onto it and arranged at approximately equal intervals one above the other. The support strips 16 serve to support refrigerated goods racks 17 and 18 which rest on the support strips 16 with their lateral sections running parallel to the side walls 15. Of the refrigerated goods shelves 17 and 18, the refrigerated goods shelves designated by 17 are formed, for example, from glass plates framed with a plastic support frame, the bearing surface of which extends into the vicinity of the access opening to the cooling space 13. In contrast to this, the bearing surface of the refrigerated goods shelf 18 arranged below the refrigerated goods shelves 17 is shortened with respect to its shelf depth to 2/3 of the shelf depth of the refrigerated goods shelves 17. The refrigerated goods shelf 18 is provided on its rear side facing away from the door 11 with spaced oval air passage openings 19, the longer oval sides of which are parallel to the lateral sections of the refrigerated goods shelf 18 run. In order to change the opening cross section of the air passage openings 15, a control slide 20, which is displaceably mounted in the refrigerated goods shelf 18, is provided directly above the latter, which is equipped with air passage openings 21 which are adapted to the air passage openings 19 with regard to their orientation and with respect to their opening cross section and which have intermediate webs corresponding to the opening area of the air passage openings 19 22 are separated. Furthermore, the control slide 20 has a handle 23 with which it can be moved in the direction of the arrow, wherein in the two extreme positions either the air passage openings 19 are covered by the intermediate webs or are released through the air passage openings 21.
On its longitudinal side opposite the control slide 20, the refrigerated goods tray 18 has a protrusion 23 due to the extension of its lateral sections, on the mutually facing inner sides of which a bearing bore, not shown, is provided. Bearing journals belonging to a transparent cover 24 are able to engage in a bearing manner to form an axis of rotation 25, the bearing journals 27 (not shown in detail) being provided in a recess 26 on their lateral flanks and in the extension line of the longitudinal edge of the cover 24 facing the refrigerated goods tray lie. This can be pivoted about its axis of rotation 25 in the direction of the arrow into a position I in which its free edge lies above the refrigerated goods shelves 18, its pivoting angle due to the striking of the lateral flanks 27 in the transition region between the projection 23 and the longitudinal edge of the refrigerated goods shelf 18 near the door is limited. The cover 24 serves to cover a container opening 29 belonging to a transparent drawer-like container 28, which forms a protrusion by shortening the depth of the refrigerated goods shelf 18 to 2/3 the depth of the refrigerated goods shelf 17 with a section opposite the door-side longitudinal edge of the refrigerated goods shelf 18, which enables an operator to load and unload the container 28 with refrigerated goods without having to pull the container 28 out of the cooling space 13. The container 28 is provided on its container opening 29 with a wuist-like opening edge 30, which is arranged at a distance from the cover 24 forming a continuous storage surface together with the refrigerated goods shelf 18 in the horizontal position, in the rest position II. This distance creates an air gap 31 between the opening edge 30 and the cover 24, which is in the closed state, via which the cooling air entering the container 28 via the air passage openings 19 can escape again. The cover 24 is held in its horizontal closed or rest position II by stops 32, which in the present case are designed as support ribs, one of which is provided for support the lateral edges of the cover 24 in the region of the side walls 15 near the door is provided on the inner lining 14. It would also be conceivable to provide the stops on the longitudinal edge of the cover 24 facing the refrigerated goods shelf 18, the stops 32 in this case engaging with the cover 24 closed on the underside of the refrigerated goods shelf 18 facing the opening edge 30.
Contrary to the illustrated and described embodiment of the invention, it is also possible that two containers are provided below the refrigerated goods shelf 18, in which case the protrusion of each container can either be covered separately by a cover 24 mounted on the refrigerated goods shelf 18, or by the cover 24 Projection of the container openings resulting container are covered by a common cover.
