Definitions
- the invention relates to an admission ticket checking system for
- Counterfeit tickets are often made and sold at major events, and especially when there are large, unsecured events. For example, counterfeiters often buy tickets in advance and reproduce them using color copiers or offset printing. The printer that produced the cards could also manufacture and sell cards with the same printed analog numbers at the time. When entering the major events, it is practically impossible for the entrance staff or the ticket inspectors to track down counterfeit tickets due to the crowds at the entrance.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to create an admission ticket verification system for detecting duplicated admission tickets.
- admission tickets have at least one individual code readable by a reader, and that the reader is connected to a computer by means of which a duplicate admission ticket can be recognized.
- admission tickets have an individual code that can be read by a reader
- a duplicate admission ticket can be recognized quickly and securely via the computer connected to the reader, even when the number of visitors is high. If an admission ticket with the same individual coding is presented again, the admission staff can specifically check which admission tickets are forged.
- the admission ticket has a first arbitrary coding, which was generated with the aid of a random generator and assigned to the admission ticket.
- the use of the random generator ensures that an unpredictable or comprehensible system of individual codes is created.
- the coding is printed on the admission ticket in the form of a bar code, which can have 20 digits, for example.
- the coding is only visible with artificial light of a certain wavelength or can be seen with the naked eye. It is thereby achieved that the coding is not opaque by producing counterfeit tickets with the help of a color copier. Such admission tickets are recognized as counterfeit or duplicated admission tickets from the very first presentation.
- the admission tickets in addition to the first arbitrary coding, also have a second continuous coding. This enables the computer to check whether the two codes are correctly assigned to one another. If the assignment is incorrect, the admission ticket is also recognized as a fake admission ticket when it is presented for the first time.
- the invention further relates to a method for detecting duplicated admission tickets. At large events in particular, it is practically impossible for the entrance staff to recognize duplicate or counterfeit tickets at the entrance.
- Another object of the present invention is therefore to provide a method that enables targeted and quick detection of duplicated tickets.
- admission tickets are provided with at least one individual code and the code is read at the entrance with a reader and fed to a computer that registers the code and triggers an alarm signal when the same code is presented again.
- the admission ticket By reading the coding with a reader, the admission ticket can be checked practically without wasting time and duplicated admission tickets can be found when it is presented again. The admission staff can then, if necessary, check the authenticity of the admission ticket on the basis of further features.
- the alarm signal is also triggered in the event of a deviation from the coding assigned.
- tickets with falsified coding are recognized quickly and securely.
- the admission tickets are provided with an arbitrary first coding, which was generated with a random generator and printed on the admission tickets.
- the coding generated by the random number generator is stored in a memory which can be removed from the computer, which is stored under lock and key and is fed to the computer connected to the reading device before entry or entry. This means that it is the printer who has not made it possible to reprint entry tickets with the same coding.
- the first arbitrary coding is printed with a transparent material which can only be recognized with artificial light of a certain wavelength. Admission tickets produced with the aid of color copiers therefore have no coding and can easily be recognized as counterfeit admission tickets at the entrance.
- the admission tickets have a second continuous coding, which is also read by the reading device and fed to the computer.
- the computer checks whether the arbitrary first coding is assigned to the correct admission ticket or correct second coding.
- the second coding can be printed with the general event information when the admission ticket is printed. Since it is risky for a counterfeiter to sell loud admission tickets with the same consecutive number or second coding, he has to change the continuous coding. However, this leads to the fact that the first arbitrary coding, which he has taken from a real admission ticket, is incorrectly assigned in the majority of cases. Such incorrect assignments can then be recognized the first time they are presented at the entrance.
- FIG. 1 a top view of an admission ticket
- FIG. 2 a top view of another admission ticket
- Figure 3 a schematic diagram of the connection of the random generator, computer and printer and
- Figure 4 a basic circuit diagram of the connection of the computer, reader and ticket.
- An admission ticket checking system essentially consists of an admission ticket (1), a computer (2) and a reader (3) connected to the computer (2).
- the admission ticket (1) is printed in the usual way and provided with the usual event information (date and place of the event, organizer, performance, serial number of the admission ticket etc.).
- the admission ticket (1) has a first arbitrary coding (4) that was generated with a random generator (5).
- the first arbitrary coding (4) can be stored on a magnetic strip (6) arranged on the entry card (1 ') or can be printed on the entry card (1), for example, as the first bar code (7).
- the first bar code (7) can be seen or can be read with a transparent color that is only visible to the naked eye in artificial light of a certain wavelength or can be read by the reading device (3), which is designed, for example, as a bar code scanner (8) .
- the admission ticket (1, 1 ') has a second consecutive coding (9) which corresponds to the consecutive ticket number (10).
- the second continuous coding (9) can also be stored on the magnetic stripe (6).
- the second continuous coding (9) is expediently arranged after the first arbitrary coding (4) so that it can be read by the reading device (3) together with the first arbitrary coding (4). If the first arbitrary coding (4) is arranged as the first bar code (7) on the admission ticket (1), the second continuous coding (9) is arranged after the first bar code (7) as the second bar code (11). As a result, the first coding (4) and the second coding (9) can be read by the reading device (3) in one operation.
- the second bar code (11) can be applied together with the consecutive card number (10) when the usual information is printed on the admission ticket (1). But it is also possible to use the second barcode
- the memory (14) can be designed, for example, as a removable disk or as a writable CD-ROM.
- the printer (12) controlled by the computer (2 ') prints the first bar code (7) next to the second bar code (11).
- the memory (14) is removed from the computer (2 ') and temporarily stored in a safe place until the day of the event. Before admission to the event, the memory (14) is fed to the computer (2) connected to the reading device (3).
- One or a plurality of reading devices (3) for example in the form of bar code scanners (8), can be connected to the computer (2).
- the readers (3) or barcode scanners (8) can be connected via a fixed connection (15) or a wireless connection (16) to the computer (2).
- the wireless connection (16) can take place, for example, via infrared signals or via radio signals.
- the admission staff is equipped with the reading devices (3) or bar code scanners (8).
- each visitor hands over his admission ticket (1, 1 ') to the admission controller, who reads the codes (4, 9) with the reader (3).
- the computer registers the presentation of the admission ticket (1, 1 ') and checks whether the admission ticket (1, 1') was presented for the first time or whether it was duplicated or forged. If the computer (2) detects the repeated presentation of an admission ticket (1, 1 '), a missing first coding (4) or an incorrect assignment between the first coding (4) and the second continuous coding (9), the computer (2) redeems Alarm signal off.
- the computer (2) If the computer (2) recognizes the admission ticket (1, 1 ') as error-free, the computer (2) triggers an enable signal.
- the release signal takes place via a release display (20) and can take the form of a green light-emitting diode arranged on the reading device (3) or a short acoustic signal from a buzzer (18) arranged on the reading device (3).
- the computer (2) If the computer (2) recognizes an admission ticket (1, 1 ') as faulty, it triggers an alarm signal.
- the alarm signal takes place via an alarm display (21) and can take the form of an illuminated red light-emitting diode (19) which is arranged on the reading device (3).
- the alarm signal can, however, also take the form of an elongated acoustic tone of the buzzer (18).
- the computer can (2) For example, allow access secured by a turnstile so that a person can enter. If access is not granted, the visitor must log in report to the admission staff, who will then check the admission ticket (1, 1 ') again and, if necessary, manually release the access.
