Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un ensemble servant à diriger et à man÷uvrer manuellement un chariot (2) pendant qu'il se déplace sur des roues (3, 4, 6) le long d'une surface de support de chariot (1). Au moins l'une des roues (6) du chariot est agencée de manière à pivoter via une colonne de direction (7) comportant une ligne d'axe de rotation centrale (8), le chariot pouvant ainsi être guidé pendant qu'il se déplace le long de la surface de support (1) en fonction d'une position de pivotement sélectionnée. L'ensemble comprend en outre un dispositif de direction (9) qui agit conjointement de façon non rotative avec la colonne de direction et avec la roue pivotante (6), laquelle est mue par un ensemble d'entraînement de roue relié à la roue. Le dispositif de direction (9) comporte un manche (12) à tenir dans la main ou poignée situé sur l'un des côtés de la ligne d'axe de rotation (8). La poignée ou le manche (12) est placé à l'avant de la ligne d'axe de rotation lorsque le chariot avance. La colonne de direction (7) et sa ligne d'axe de rotation (8) sont verticaux ou sensiblement verticaux. Le manche (12) est relié de façon pivotante, mobile et/ou inclinable à un support supérieur (13) relié de façon rigide à la colonne de direction, de façon à actionner l'ensemble d'entraînement de roue (10) en vue de l'entraînement de la roue (6) en réponse au réglage en position non neutre du manche (12). Le manche (12) et la colonne de direction (7) peuvent être amenés à effectuer un mouvement de rotation libre (de 360°) dans les deux directions, remplissant ainsi une fonction de manche à balai d'un type nouveau.
