DESIGN FOR A PILLOW-BLOCK.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,591, dated April 24, 1900.

Be it known that I, ANToNIo C. PESSANO, of the city and county of Philadelphia, in the State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and original Design for lillow- Blocks, of which the following is a specification.

My design for pillow-blocks is shown in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure l is a perspective view of a pillowblock embodying the design, and Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same.

A is a fiat base upon which is located a centrally-disposed and longitudinally-arranged box B, projecting at either end, as at b b, beyond the ends of the base A, so that the sides of the base forni lateral horizontal flangesaa. The projecting end 1; of the box ii at one end is widened, as shown at B.

G is the cover or top of the box, havingits surface transverselyarched and provided with a central boss 0 and longitudinal side flanges e. The portion F of the cap 0 at one end, which covers the widened portion B of the lower part of the box, is correspondingly widened and has its upper surface curved or arched both longitudinally and transversely.

D D D D are four vertical column-like extensions from the sides of the box 13 and its cover or top C, which project outwardly upon the lateral sides a a of the base A.

The box and its cover C F are provided with a cylindrical longitudinal opening or passageway E, extending from end to end. The side flanges a a of the base A are provided with perforations ff, located between the columns D D on each side.

The essential features of the design are the base A, with the longitudinally and centrally disposed hollow box 13 C F projecting therefrom at each end and having one end widened, as at 13' F, with the column-like lateral extensions D D from the box B L projecting laterally upon the sides a a of the base A.
