FRANZ YOKEL, OF MERIDAN, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO THE MERIDEN BRONZE COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A SLAB FOR TABLE-TOPS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,204, dated April 17, 1894.
Application filed March 5, 1894. Serial No. 502,450. Term of patent 3% years.

Beit known that I, FRANZ YOKEL, of Merioen, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for a Slab for Table-Tops, (Case D and i do hereby declare the following, when taken in con nection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification and represents a top or face view of a slab for a. table-top illustrating the design.
This invention relates to a design for a slab for a table-top, and the design consists in the configuration and ornamentation as shown in the accompanying illustration. The central portion of the top is oblong on its outer configuration and oval on its inner configuration. At the angles are two shell-like scrolls A, inclosing fret-work,having springing from them two mythological figures, separated by shelllike forms B, surmounted by scrolls C, which form the angles of the frame. One hand of each figure clasps a central shell ornament D, while the other hand of each is outstretched, holding a garland E, which meets the hand of the opposite figure at the ends, but which merges at the sides into elaborate foliatcd scrolls, connected by a central shell F, inclosing a panel, all represented as springing from a beaded oval inner border, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
I claim- The design fora slab fortable-tops, as herein shown and described.
