COMBINATION TOY.

The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.

Toall whom it may concern:

Beit known that I, ROBERT WENT, of Brooklyn, E. D., in the county of Kings, and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Oombination Toy; and IA do hereby' declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description' thereof',

which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings forming part of this specification.

This invention relates to a new and useful improvevment in a combination ltoy, andconsists in operating (on two wheels. whichrevolve on an axle) a revolvingswing and revolving horizontal tables, both swing and tables4 being designed for any figures `representing children or other persons, birds, or animals.

The accompanying drawing is a perspective view of the apparatus.

Similar lettersv of reference indicate corresponding parts.

A A represent the driving-wheels, which rest upon the door or ground, and revolve on the axle B, like ordinary cart-wheels.

C is the. tongue.

D D are uprights, which are fastin the axle B.

E E are horizontal tables, which are connected with the diskwheels F F by the rods G.'

The tables E rest on top of the cart-wheels A, so that whenthe wheels A revolve (as when/ the cart is drawn or moved on the door) the tables E, with the partsconnected with them, and the figures on them, are revolved by the friction thus produced.

H is the axle or shaft of a revolving swing, with arms I radiating from it, asrseen in the drawing.

To the ends of the arms, carriages J areattaohed, by cords or otherwise, so that they hang or are suspended therefrom in such a manner that they .always retain their horizontal position, as seen in the draw- 0n the ends of the axle H there are friction-wheels 'K K,which rest on the disk-wheels F, and are revolved by the friction thus produced. 'lhe frictionwheels K are of course fast on the shaft or axle H. The shaft revolves on pivots in its ends, which pass into or through the uprights D.

By this arrangement the swing is revolved on its pivots in the uprights D D, which pivots are confined in slots in the uprights so as to allow for any variation in the surfaces of the disks and friction-wheels, or from I l variations from a`true plane in their revolution.

When the cart is drawn over the iioor or ground,

the traction of' the driving-wheels A will drive not 'only the horizontal tables E, but the swing will be re volved.

The tables E and carriages J may contain figures representing children, as in the drawing, or birds or animals may be exhibited.

This arrangement forms an amusing combination of figures moving in diierent directions, but with uniform regularity.

The toy ,is very easily made, and is very durable.

I' claim as new, and desire to' secure by Letters Patent- The combination ofthe horizontal movement of the tables E and the vertical movement of the swing carriages H with the driving-wheels A, arranged and operating substantially as and for thepurposes set forth and described.
