JOSEPH LLADO, on NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA.
IMPROVED MEDICAL COMPOUND OR BITTERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 93,209, dated August 3, 1869.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOSEPH LLADo, of New Orleans, parish of Orleans, and State of Louisiana, have invented a new and Improved Medical Compound, called the VVanata Guaco Bitters and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use it.
The present invention relates to anew and Improved medical compound, especially intended to strengthen and to increase the action of the stomach, (i. 0., a stomachic,) which compound consists of thefollowingin gredients Guaco root, one dram eighteen grains; calamus, halt dram; false alcanet, halt dram nine grains; mace, nine grains; cloves, nine grains;
cinnamon, half dram; fennel-seed, half dram camomile, twenty -seven grains; coriander, eighteen grains; sage, halt dram; orange-peel,
one dram thirty grains; white sirup, twoounces; spirits, 20 two and a half pounds; and water, four ounces.
Infuse during ten days, and then filter.
Dose, one wine-glasst'ul before meals,
I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The medical compound made of the several ingredients, mixed together in or about the proportions, substantially as described.
