The holder which is made of light cardboard, plastic, or the like, has a window opening, and the cake has a peripheral flange which coacts with the edge of the opening to prevent the cake from accidentally falling out of the holder. The moth cake is hermetically sealed in a readily tearable, preferably transparent wrapper or container, which is removed or slit open when it is desired to allow the vaporized material of the cake to flow into a closet or other enclosure.

1 ANTI-MOTH CAKE HOLDER THE INVENTlON The invention resides in an improved holder which is inexpensive to produce, which is easy to use, which is attractive. and which occupies little space when not in use.
IN THE DRAWINGS FIG. 1 is a front elevational view of an antimoth cake holder embodying the invention, the same being shown ready to use.
FIG. 2 is a sectional view looking in the direction of line 2-2 on FIG. 1.
FIG. 3 is a rear perspective view of the holder of FIG. 1 showing how an antimoth cake is packaged according to this invention.
FIG. 4 is a sectional view looking in the direction of line 4-4 on FIG. 1. I
FIG. 5 is a rear perspective view showing a second embodiment of the invention.
FIG. 6 is a rear perspective view showing a thirdembodiment of the invention.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION In all embodiments. the holder is formed of a single blank which is scored to form various walls or portions which are ing 26 of a size and shape which corresponds to the shape and size of the cake whereby, the cake will project into the opening as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4. In order to prevent the cake from falling out through the window opening, the cake is provided with a median peripheral, substantially flat flange 28 which abuts the inner edge of the opening as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. With the cake in position, rear wall 16 is rotated about score line 12 until it abuts the rear face of the cake. Next, side walls and 21 are rotated about score lines 18 and 19 to overlap wall 16 and each other, FIGS. 2 and 4. Walls 20 and 21 are held in position by any suitable means such as an adhesive or staple applied to their overlapping marginal portions 30. It will be noted that in this embodiment, rear wall 16 is shorter than front wall 14.
To suspend the holder, front wall 14 and side wall 21 are provided with holes 32 and 33 for receiving a string or a hook. Wall 20, which underlies wall 21 may be provided with a hole similar to hole 33 or it can be cut away as at 34 so as not to obstruct passage through holes 32 and 33.
To use the cake. the front side of enclosing bag 24 is slit or removed. As the cake becomes smaller, rear wall 16, under the urging of side walls 20 and 21 continues to urge the cake toward the opening 26.
In the embodiment of FIG. 5, rear wall 16', which corresponds to rear wall 16' is coextensive with front wall I4 and is provided with a hole 32 which, in the assembled device. alines with hole 32 in front wall 14. In other respects. the embodiment of FIG. 5 is the same as that in FIG. I.
The embodiment of FIG. 6 differs from that of FIG. 5 only in that it has an auxiliary wall 36 which is hinged to the top of its front wall 14" and overlies rear wall 16" as shown in FIG. 5. In other respects. the embodiment of FIG. 6 is identical with that ofFIG. 5.
I claim:
I. In a package for holding a shaped cake of vaporizable material, the combination of:
l. a unitary blank of foldable sheet material;
said blank being scored to define a front wall having a right. left and bottom edge, a left side wall, a right side wall, and a rear wall; said front wall being provided with a window opening of size and shape to correspond to the size and shape of the said cake of vaporizable material;
2. the said rear wall foldingly connecting to the front wall at the respective bottoms thereof and overlying the said cake in folded position:- said rear wall being of sufficient height to cover the said window opening; said rear wall being shorter in height than the height of the said front wall;
. said right and left side walls hingedly folding behind the said front wall along the respective right and left edges thereof; each said side wall extending transversely a distance greater than one-half the width of the said front wall to form an overlapping marginal portion; said right and left side walls folding behind the said folded rear wall to secure the rear wall in position over the cake of vaporizable material; said right and left side walls being secured together at the marginal portions thereof to lock the said cake within the said shaped opening; 4. the said front wall and one of the said side walls being provided with openings to receive package-hanging means; said openings registering one over the other when the one said side wall bends behind the said front wall; the said package-hanging means securing the one said side wall to the'said front wall above the said cake whereby the said cake is securely locked within the said package at the right and left sides by the respective folded right and left side walls, at the bottom by the folded rear wall and at the top by the hanging means secured through the registered openings.
2. The invention of claim 1 wherein the said left side wall folds over the said right side wall, and wherein the right side wall is provided with a cutaway portion positioned so as not to obstruct passage through the registered left side wall and front wall openings.
3. The invention of claim 2 wherein the said cutaway area positions'at the top of the said marginal portion.
