The object of the present invention is to eliminate the time consuming procedure required for mounting and demounting instruments on and from switchboards by replacing the usual threaded binding posts for the electrical leads with plugs on the rear of the instrument which match up with cooperating sockets more or less permanently fixed to the switchboard.

Other objects and their attendant advantages will become apparent as the following detailed description is read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings wherein:

5. The combination of claim 2 wherein said instrument includes a face flange, at least one positioning element extending rearwardly of said face flange, said board having an opening therein receiving said element to position said instrument against twisting with respect to its opening.
