I claim:

.1. In a one-piece garment of the character described, a resilient knitted shirt part, a resilient knitted short pants part comprising a flap including a rear buttocks-covering portion merging with the back of the shirt part and a crotch and front portion; a non-resilient strip secured to the shirt part front in the waist region and extending transversely across the shirt part front with its ends terminating substantially at the respective side extremities of the garment, said strip being secured to said shirt part front along an arc with its central part being highest and at the middle of the shirt part front and with its end parts being lowest and respectively adjacent said shirt part side extremities, whereby said shirt part front can be stretched transversely when the grament is being put on; fastening means on said non-resil-- ,ient strip; and cooperating fastening means on the front portion of said pants part.

2. In a garment of the character described, a resilient shirt part including non-resilient waist portion reenforcing means extending across the lower front portion of said shirt part substantially from one side extremity of said shirt part' to the other side extremity thereof and being secured to said shirt part along an arc with its highest point at the middle of the shirt part front and with its lowest parts respectively adjacent said shirt part side extremities, whereby 3. 5. Agarment of the character described comprising a cylindrically shaped body portion and arc across the lower part of said body portion with the ends thereof connected to the ends of said crotch reinforcements.
