(011272-52) This invention relates to rockers or gliders intended particularly for small children and adapted. to serve for the purpose of exercise as Well as amusement. The principal object of the invention is to provide anew toy or rocker-which will be par ticularly pleasing and attractive in appearance and which will be durable in use.

' Each of the side frames is provided with a combined supporting and actuating v member 28 which is preferably made .to simulate the fore part of an animal such as a horse and includes an upperneck and head portion 29 and downwardly extending legs 30. The lower ends of the legs, or the feet, are secured to rockers 3|. Each of the supporting members 28 fits between the end portions of the side frame boards l2 and l3and are'pivoted on short pivot pins or trunnions 32. A cross rod or handle bar 33 extends across between the neck portions 29 and is preferably held in detachable position by dowel pins 34. Th rockers 3! are detachably connected by means of a cross rod 35 which is also preferably held by means of dowel pins 36 so that the rod maybe readily installed or removed. A hobby horse, or the like, comprising in combination, twospaced apart side frames, each frame including outer and inner complemental plates, bars between the'plates of each frame for holding, the respective plates in spaced relation and to serve as stops, a seat extending between the frames, means for securing the seat to the respective frames, a back for said seat, means for securing the back to the respective frames, a shelf mounted between the frames in front of the seat, verticallyarranged supporting members fitting closely between the front ends of the plates of the respective frames, pivots connecting said supporting members with the plates, rockers secured to the lower ends of the supporting members, a cross rod connecting the rockers, vertically arranged supports fitting closely between the rear ends of the side plates of the respective frame members, pivots connecting the supports with the plates, rockers connected with the lower ends of said supporting members, a cross rod connecting said last named rockers and linksbetween said cross rods for holdingthe rockers in spaced relation, substantially as described.

5. A rocker comprising two complemented side frames l0 and II, each of said frames including outer and inner boards simulating the body of an animal and forming the principal body, portion of the rocker, means for securing the plates of the respective frames together and providing spaces therebetween, strips interposed between the upper edges of the boards of the respective frames to close the opening along said edges, a seat positioned between the side frames, means for detachably securing the seat to the frames, combined supporting and actuating members simulating the fore part of an animal, means for pivoting said members between the boards of the respective side frames, rockers secured to the lower ends of said supporting members, a cross bar connecting theupper portions of said supporting members and servingas a handle for actuating the rockers secured to the lower ends of the last rocker, supportingmembers simulating the legs andrear portion of the animal pivotally mounted between the boards of the respective side frames,
