FIG. 1 is a respective exploded view of the switch seat and the safety plug assembly of the present disclosure; -
FIG. 2 is a respective exploded view of the switch seat of the present disclosure; -
FIG. 3 is another respective exploded view of the switch seat of the present disclosure; -
FIG. 4 is a local cross-sectional view of the present disclosure; -
FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the present disclosure from another view; and -
FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view of the power clamp being clamped of the present disclosure. - The technical contents of this disclosure will become apparent with the detailed description of embodiments accompanied with the illustration of related drawings as follows. It is intended that the embodiments and drawings disclosed herein are to be considered illustrative rather than restrictive.
- Please refer to
FIG. 1 , which is a respective exploded view of the switch seat and the safety plug assembly of the present disclosure. The present disclosure provides a manual service disconnect for an in-vehicle electric current, which includes aswitch seat 1 and asafety plug assembly 2 that may be assembled with or detached from theswitch seat 1. - As shown in
FIGS. 2 and 3 , theswitch seat 1 includes aseat portion 10 and aplug holder 11 disposed in theseat portion 10. Theplug holder 11 is provided with a plurality ofpower legs 110 protruding from the backside opposite to the plug opening of theplug holder 11. Theseat portion 10 is hollow inside and is perforated to include aplug port 100 and awire opening 101. Theplug holder 11 is disposed in theseat portion 10 such that the plug opening of theplug holder 11 is disposed toward theplug port 100 and thepower legs 110 of theplug holder 11 project from thewire opening 101. Moreover, theplug holder 11 is disposed for twopower wires 111 to be inserted through thewire opening 101. Each of the twopower wires 111 has aconnection terminal 111 a fixed in theplug holder 11, as shown inFIG. 4 . - As shown in
FIGS. 1 and 4 , thesafety plug assembly 2 is used to plug into the above-mentionedswitch seat 1. Thesafety plug assembly 2 includes aplug portion 20 matching theseat portion 10 of theswitch seat 1, aplug head 21 disposed on theplug portion 20, and ahandle 22 disposed on theplug portion 20. Theplug head 21 is plugged into theplug holder 11. Further, adisconnector 210 is disposed in theplug head 21. Aclamping end 210 a is extended respectively on two ends of thedisconnector 210 such that twoconnection terminals 111 a in theplug holder 11 contact with theclamping end 210 a of thedisconnector 210 and are electrically conducted to each other when theplug head 21 is plugged into theplug holder 11. In this way, the electric conduction can be achieved. In other words, when thesafety plug assembly 2 is unplugged from theswitch seat 1, the clamping ends 210 a of thedisconnector 210 are separated from the twoconnection terminals 111 a in theplug holder 11 to meet the safety requirement by disconnecting the power. In the meantime, the present disclosure further makes theconnection terminals 111 a of thepower wires 111 respectively be in a flake shape and the clamping ends 210 a of thedisconnector 210 respectively be in an elongated shape such that the clamping ends 210 a clamp theconnection terminals 111 a, as shown inFIG. 4 . Thus, the electrical connection between theconnection terminals 111 a and the clamping ends 210 a is more secure. - Please refer to
FIGS. 2, 3, and 5 . The present disclosure is further provided with aprotection cover 12, which is disposed on theseat portion 10 of theswitch seat 1 and covers thewire opening 101 such that thepower legs 110, which protrude out of thewire opening 101, of theplug holder 11 can be covered in theprotection cover 12. Meanwhile, in order to ensure the wire routing of thepower wires 111 is not influenced under the condition of adding theprotection cover 12, aslot seat 102 is disposed above thewire opening 101 of theseat portion 10 in which theslot seat 102 is configured on the middle portion of thewire opening 101 and straddles the wire opening 101 to divide wire opening 101 into two portions. Moreover, aninsert hole 102 a and thewire holes 102 b are disposed on theslot seat 102. Theinsert hole 102 a is for theprotection cover 12 to snap. Thewire holes 102 b are used for the twopower wires 111 to pass through. Theprotection cover 12 has acover portion 120 and awall portion 121 surrounding one edge of thecover portion 120. Thecover portion 120 is provided with anopening 120 a corresponding to theslot seat 102 and is provided with asnap part 122 hung inside theopening 120 a to correspond to theinsert hole 102 a of theslot seat 102 for snapping such that theprotection cover 12 may be connected with the seat portion 10 (seeFIG. 4 ). Moreover, the twopower wires 111 pass through theopening 120 a and penetrate into thewire holes 102 b through two sides of thesnap part 122. Such design enlarges the distance between twoconnection terminals 111 a of twopower wires 111 used as high voltage terminal and uses thesnap part 122 or theslot seat 102 as a separator between twopower wires 111 to reduce the risk of the short circuit. - As shown in
FIG. 3 , one inner edge of theopening 120 a further protrudes to form asnap seat 122 a such that thesnap part 122 is formed from theseat 122 a toward inside of the protection cover 12 (seeFIG. 4 ) and agap 120 b is formed between theseat 122 a and another inner edge of the opening 120 a. Thegap 120 b is at least greater than the diameter of any of the twopower wires 111. In this way, one of the twopower wires 111 may pass through thegap 120 b to make the twopower wires 111 shift to the same side of the opening 120 a. Consequently, when theprotection cover 12 is removed or assembled, the twopower wires 111 are not required to be removed. - Therefore, through the above-described structure, the manual service disconnect for the in-vehicle electric current of the present disclosure is obtained.
- As shown in
FIGS. 5 and 6 , the present disclosure may prevent user from carelessly contacting with thepower legs 110 through thecover portion 120 of theprotection cover 12. Also, through the pre-rupturing holes on thewall portions 121 of theprotection cover 12, thepower clamp 3 may pass through the rupturing holes to clamp thepower legs 110. In one embodiment, thewall portions 121 is provided withpre-rupturing parts 121 a which can be broken to expose the rupturing holes with exerting force. The locations of the rupturing holes on thewall portions 121 may be determined by the user's demand. - In summary, the present disclosure indeed achieves the expected objectives and overcomes the disadvantages of the related art.
- While this disclosure has been described by means of specific embodiments, numerous modifications and variations could be made thereto by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of this disclosure set forth in the claims.
