  • SUMMARY OF INVENTION Technical Problem
  • FIGS. 17 and 18 are views illustrating an example of a conventional cosmetics container. As illustrated in the schematic cross-sectional view of FIG. 17, a container main body 100 includes a body portion 102 and a connection portion 104. A cosmetic substance is held in the body portion 102. A gasket 110 is fixed inside the connection portion 104. The gasket 110 allows an applicator 120 to be inserted and withdrawn. The applicator 120 is configured with a shaft portion 122 and a brush 124 affixed to the end thereof. The brush 124 is formed of a hairy sponge-like material.
  • The gasket 110 has an inner peripheral surface 110 a and an upper surface 110 b. The inner peripheral surface 110 a extends substantially vertically downward from the upper surface 110 b. The upper surface 110 b is flat.
  • Meanwhile, in order for the user to use the cosmetics container for application comfortably, it is necessary to avoid situations in which the cosmetic material held in the cosmetics container stain the user's hands and in which the cosmetics container itself becomes soiled. The conventional cosmetics container illustrated in FIG. 17 and FIG. 18 has a problem where unless the applicator 120 is inserted from the direction in which the central axis in the longitudinal direction of the gasket 110 extends (hereinafter, referred to as “central axis direction”), the brush 124 hits the upper surface 110 b, the cosmetic material splatters and the cosmetic material adheres to the upper surface 110 b. In other words, as illustrated in FIG. 17, the brush 124 comes into contact with the upper surface 110 b by merely shifting only slightly the direction in which the applicator 120 is inserted from the central axis direction.
  • In addition, in order to carry out makeup according to the intention of the user of the cosmetics container, the amount of the cosmetic material adhered to the brush 124 and the position on the brush 124 at which the cosmetic material is adhered (for example, the tip and the center of the brush 124) are important. For this reason, there are cases where the user adjusts the amount of the cosmetic material loaded on the brush 124 and the position on the brush 124 at which the cosmetic material is adhered (hereinafter, referred to as “fine adjustment”) by scraping the brush 124 in the vicinity of the opening portion of the gasket 110. Specifically, as illustrated in FIG. 18A, the fine adjustment described above is performed by bringing the brush 124 into contact with a corner portion where the inner peripheral surface 110 a and the upper surface 110 b are connected to each other near the opening portion on the side opposite the user's eye E1 (hereinafter, referred to as “cornered portion”) and moving the brush 124 outward as indicated by the arrow U1. When the brush 124 is scraped at the cornered portion, as illustrated in FIG. 18B, a portion of the cosmetic material 200 a loaded on the brush 124 moves to the inner peripheral surface 110 a, but since the inner peripheral surface 110 a extends almost vertically downward, the cosmetic material 200 a quickly falls downward as indicated by the arrow D1. Since the inner peripheral surface 110 a extends almost vertically downward from the upper surface 110 b, the user's eye E1 must look into the inner peripheral surface 110 a, and since it is hard for light to enter the inner peripheral surface 110 a from the outside, it is difficult to visually recognize the amount of cosmetic material with clarity. For this reason, it is difficult for the user to confirm how much of the cosmetic material 200 a has been scraped off. In other words, it is difficult for the user to grasp how much cosmetic material remains on the brush 124. If the user has scraped off more than intended, it is necessary to insert the brush 124 into the container main body 100 and start the adjustment over again from the beginning. Furthermore, since the upper surface 110 b is flat, if the brush 124 is scraped at the cornered portion, a portion of the cosmetic material 200 b remains on the upper surface 110 b so that there are cases where the cosmetics container itself may become soiled and stain user's hands.
  • The present invention has been made in view of the above and provides a cosmetics container gasket and a cosmetics container that enable a user to use the cosmetics container more comfortably.
  • Solution to Problem
  • A first invention is a cosmetics container gasket in which an applicator for applying a cosmetic material is inserted and withdrawn, and which is disposed at an opening portion of a cosmetics container main body in which the cosmetic material is held; wherein with the gasket, an opening end portion opposite to the cosmetics container main body is formed in a protruding shape in a direction opposite to the cosmetics container main body; the portion between the main body portion of the gasket and the opening end portion is configured as a first inclined portion that gradually increases in diameter from the main body portion toward the opening end portion; and the terminal end portion of the first inclined portion is the opening end portion, and the diameter of the opening end portion is configured to be larger than the diameter of the outer peripheral surface of the wall portion configuring the main body portion.
  • According to the configuration of the first invention, the diameter of the terminal end portion (opening end portion) of the first inclined portion of the gasket is configured to be larger than the diameter of the outer peripheral surface of the wall portion configuring the main body portion, and since the opening is wide, even if the user inserts the applicator into the cosmetic container main body from a direction relatively deviated from the center axis direction, as long as the applicator is within the inside of the terminal end portion, the applicator can slide along the first inclined portion and enter the cosmetics container main body. In addition, since a protrusion is formed in a direction opposite to the main body portion, that is, upward, even if the applicator comes into contact with the terminal end portion, the cosmetic material does not remain in the terminal end portion, and even if the cosmetic material does remain, the remaining amount is extremely small compared to the case of the conventional example in which the opening end portion is flat. The user scrapes the applicator with the first inclined portion or the terminal end portion to move a part of the cosmetic material loaded on the applicator to the first inclined portion, but since the first inclined portion has a predetermined angle with respect to the central axis direction, the cosmetic material remains on the first inclined portion for a relatively long time. Since the diameter of the first inclined portion is greatly increased, due to the relationship with the angle of the line of sight of the user (the surface of the first inclined portion with the line of sight of the user tends to be smaller than 90 degrees), the first inclined portion on the side opposite to the user's eye is easy to visually recognize and external light enters more easily to improve visibility. For this reason, the user can comfortably perform fine adjustment of the amount of cosmetic material loaded on the applicator with the first inclined portion. As described above, the user can use the cosmetic container more comfortably.
  • A second invention is the cosmetics container gasket according to the first invention, wherein a second opening end portion of the gasket on the cosmetics container main body side is configured as a first cosmetic material adjustment mechanism formed smaller than the outer shape of the applicator; and the first inclined portion is configured as a second cosmetic material adjustment mechanism formed such that the direction of a line perpendicular to a tangent thereof approaches the vertical direction toward the terminal end portion.
  • A third invention is the cosmetics container gasket according to the first invention, wherein the terminal end portion is configured as a curved surface.
  • A fourth invention is the cosmetics container gasket according to the first invention, wherein the outer portion of the opening end portion is configured as a second inclined portion inclined downward from the opening end portion.
  • A fifth invention is the cosmetics container gasket according to the second invention, wherein the inclination angle of the central portion of the second inclined portion is substantially equal to the inclination angle of the central portion of the first inclined portion, or equal to or less than the inclination angle of the central portion of the first inclined portion.
  • A sixth invention is the cosmetics container gasket according to the first invention, wherein the ratio (dC/dA) of the opening diameter dC of the opening end portion to the average opening diameter dA of the main body portion is 1.5 or greater and 1.6 or less.
  • A seventh invention is a cosmetics container comprising a cosmetics container gasket according to any of the first through sixth inventions.
  • Effect of the Invention
  • According to the cosmetics container of the present invention, it is possible to provide a cosmetics container gasket and a cosmetics container which enable a user to use a cosmetics container more comfortably.

  • DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS
  • Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
  • As illustrated in in FIGS. 1 and 2, a cosmetics container 1 (hereinafter, referred to as “container 1”) comprises a cap portion 10 and a cosmetics container main body 50 (hereinafter, referred to as “container main body 50”). The container main body 50 is an example of a cosmetics container main body. In the container main body 50, a cosmetic material such as mascara or liquid foundation is held. In the container 1, the direction in which the cap portion 10 is located is referred to as an upper side (upper), and the direction in which the container main body 50 is located is referred to as a lower side (lower). The upper position is expressed as “high position”, and the lower position is expressed as “low position”. Further, the direction of the virtual central axis Z1 (hereinafter, referred to as “central axis Z1”) in the longitudinal direction of the container 1 is referred to as the inside, and the direction away from the central axis Z1 is referred to as the outside. The direction in which the central axis Z1 extends is also referred to as the vertical direction.
  • The container 1 has a substantially columnar shape in which the diameter near both ends is larger than the diameter at the center portion. The maximum diameter near one end is larger than the maximum diameter near the other end. The maximum diameter of the cap portion 10 is smaller than the maximum diameter of the container main body 50. The container 1 is large enough to be held by a user with one hand; for example, the entire length L1 of the container 1 is 130 mm and the maximum diameter W1 is 20 mm.
  • As illustrated in FIG. 3, the container main body 50 includes a body portion 52 and a connection portion 54. A male screw 54 a is formed in the connection portion 54.
  • The shaft portion 40 is fixed to the cap portion 10. A brush 42 is fixed to an end of the shaft portion 40. The brush 42 is an example of an applicator for applying the cosmetic material. The brush 42 is formed of a hairy sponge-like material. Both ends of the connection portion 54 are open, so that the shaft portion 40 and the brush 42 can be stored in the body portion 52. That is, the brush 42 is inserted into and withdrawn from the container main body 50.
  • The lower end portion of the cap portion 10 is open to form a substantially cylindrical concave space 10S. A female screw (not illustrated) is formed on the inner wall portion 10 a that forms a concave space 10S and the cap portion 10 is made so as to be detachably fixed to the container main body 50 by engaging with the male screw 54 a of the container main body 50.
  • As illustrated in FIG. 4, the gasket 20 is fixed inside the connection portion 54 of the container main body 50. Note that in FIG. 4, illustration of the male screw 54 a of the connection portion 54 is omitted. The same applies to FIGS. 7 to 13. The gasket 20 is an example of a gasket for a cosmetics container. In addition, the upper end portion 40 a of the shaft portion 40 (see FIG. 7) is fixed to a space 10S2 near the upper end of the cap portion 10 (see FIG. 7). The brush 42 is made so as to pass through the gasket 20 when inserted into and withdrawn from the container main body 50.
  • The container main body 50 is formed, for example, through injection molding of polypropylene (PP). The cap portion 10 is formed, for example, through injection molding of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The gasket 20 is formed, for example, through injection molding of polyethylene (PE).
  • As illustrated in FIGS. 5 and 6, the gasket 20 is formed in an overall cylindrical shape and includes a gasket main body portion 20 a and an enlarged diameter portion 20 b. The gasket main body portion 20 a is an example of a gasket main body portion. Annular protrusions 20 a 1 and 20 a 2 are formed on the outer peripheral surface 20 aa of the gasket main body portion 20 a and are made so as to be easily fixed to the inside of the connection portion 54.
  • The enlarged diameter portion 20 b includes an upper end portion (opening end portion) 20 ba, a first inclined portion 20 bb, a second inclined portion 20 bc, a vertical portion 20 bd, and a lower end portion 20 be. The upper end portion 20 ba is an example of an opening end portion. The first inclined portion 20 bb is an example of a first inclined portion. The second inclined portion 20 bc is an example of a second inclined portion.
  • The gasket 20 is formed in a cylindrical shape in which the diameter of the upper end portion 20 ba is larger than the diameter of the outer peripheral surface of the gasket main body portion 20 a. The first inclined portion 20 bb is configured to gradually increase in diameter from the inner side surface 20 ab of the gasket main body portion 20 a toward the upper end portion 20 ba. The terminal end portion of the first inclined portion 20 bb is the upper end portion 20 ba. The first inclined portion 20 bb is configured as a curved surface portion that is convex toward the direction of the vertical axis Z2 of the gasket 20. That is, the first inclined portion 20 bb is configured such that the direction of a line perpendicular to the tangent thereof approaches the vertical direction toward the upper end portion 20 ba.
  • In addition, the upper end portion 20 ba is formed to protrude upward. Specifically, the upper end portion 20 ba is formed as a curved surface. The upper end portion 20 ba is located outside the outer surface (outer peripheral surface 20 aa) of the wall portion configuring the gasket main body portion 20 a (see FIG. 6). That is, the diameter dC of the upper end portion 20 ba is larger than the maximum diameter dB of the outer peripheral surface 20 aa of the gasket main body portion 20 a. The upper end portion 20 ba is configured as the uppermost portion which is the highest position in the gasket main body portion 20 a. The upper end portion 20 ba is also an example of a terminal end portion.
  • The second inclined portion 20 bc is an outer portion outside the upper end portion 20 ba, is inclined so as to become lower toward the outside and is configured to be lower than the upper end portion 20 ba. In other words, the second inclined portion 20 bc is inclined downward from the upper end portion 20 ba. The outermost part of the gasket 20 has a maximum diameter dD. The diameter dF of a lower opening portion 20 ac of the gasket 20 is slightly smaller than the diameter of the brush 42. As a result, when the brush 42 loaded with the cosmetic material is pulled out from the gasket 20, excess cosmetic material is caused to drop at the lower opening portion 20 ac of the gasket 20. That is, the lower opening portion 20 ac is an example of a first cosmetic material adjustment mechanism for adjusting the amount of cosmetic material loaded on the brush 42.
  • The inclination angle θ2 (the angle of inclination with respect to the vertical axis Z2) of the central portion of the second inclined portion 20 bc is substantially equal to the inclination angle θ1 of the first inclined portion 20 bb, or the inclination angle θ2 is defined to be equal to or less than the inclination angle θ1. In FIG. 6B, the direction in which the vertical axis Z2 extends is the vertical direction. In the present embodiment, the inclination angle θ2 is 20 degrees, and the inclination angle θ1 is 35 degrees.
  • The ratio (dC/dA) of the opening diameter dC of the end of the first inclined portion 20 bb (that is, the upper end portion 20 ba) to the average opening diameter dA of the gasket main body portion 20 a is defined to be 1.5 or more and 1.6 or less. In the present embodiment, dA is 5.6 mm, dC is 8.4 mm, and the ratio (dC/dA) is 1.50.
  • As illustrated in FIGS. 7 and 8, the gasket 20 is pushed into the connection portion 54, and the outer peripheral surface 20 aa of the gasket 20 comes into contact with the inner peripheral surface 54 b of the connection portion 54 and is fixed. The gasket 20 is fixed to the connection portion 54 in a state where the lower end portion 20 be of the enlarged diameter portion 20 b of the gasket 20 is in close contact with the upper end portion 54 c which is the upper end of the connection portion 54.
  • Hereinafter, the state in which the brush 42 fixed to the shaft portion 40 is inserted into the container main body 50 through the gasket 20 will be described with reference to FIGS. 9 to 13. As illustrated in FIG. 9, the brush 42 may be inserted into the container main body 50 from the direction of the extension of the central axis Z1 of the container main body 50 (central axis direction), but as illustrated in FIG. 10, it may be inserted into the container main body 50 from a direction shifted from the central axis direction.
  • As long as the brush 42 is inserted from a position inside the upper end portion 20 ba of the gasket 20 (see FIG. 10), the brush 42 comes into contact with the first inclined portion 20 bb (see FIG. 11), further slides along the first inclined portion 20 bb, (see FIG. 12) and is finally inserted into the container main body 50 from the central axis direction (see FIG. 13). That is, since the brush 42 is smoothly guided from the upper end portion 20 ba to the first inclined portion 20 bb, the brush 42 is inserted into the container main body 50 without impediment.
  • Next, a method for finely adjusting the amount of cosmetic material loaded on the brush 42 will be described with reference to FIGS. 14 and 15. As illustrated in FIG. 14A, the user performs fine adjustment using the first inclined portion 20 bb. The first inclined portion 20 bb is an example of a second cosmetic material adjustment mechanism. The user finely adjusts the amount of the cosmetic material by bringing the brush 42 into contact with a portion of the first inclined portion 20 bb opposite to the user's eye E1 and moving the brush 42 outward as indicated by the arrow U1. That is, the user first passes the brush 42 from which excess cosmetic material has been dropped in the lower opening portion 20 ac (see FIG. 6A) through the inner side surface 20 ab and then pushes the brush 42 against the first inclined portion 20 bb sliding toward the upper end portion 20 ba and scrapes with the upper end portion 20 ba to drop unneeded cosmetic material or to perform fine adjustment such as adjusting the position on the brush 42 of where the cosmetic material is loaded. The user visually recognizes the amount of the cosmetic material that has moved from the brush 42 to the first inclined portion 20 bb, and if the amount of moved cosmetic material is insufficient, presses the brush 42 again against the first inclined portion 20 bb to perform fine adjustment of the amount of the cosmetic material. Since the upper end portion 20 ba is not flat, the cosmetic material does not then remain on the upper end portion 20 ba.
  • Since the first inclined portion 20 bb has a predetermined angle with respect to the direction of the vertical axis Z2 (see FIG. 6B), when the user uses the brush 42 on the first inclined portion 20 bb to move, as illustrated in FIG. 14B, a portion of the cosmetic material 70 loaded on the brush 42 to the first inclined portion 20 bb, the cosmetic material 70 remains on the first inclined portion 20 bb for a relatively long time. For this reason, the user is able to finely adjust the amount of the cosmetic material loaded on the brush 42 and the position where the cosmetic material is loaded on the brush 42 by using the first inclined portion 20 bb like a palette used when painting a picture.
  • The inclination of the first inclined portion 20 bb is adjusted to an angle at which the cosmetic material moved from the brush 42 is easy to see. Specifically, as illustrated in FIG. 15A, a tangent line at the central portion 20 bb 1 of the first inclined portion 20 bb is given as L11, and a line perpendicular to the tangent line L11 is given as a perpendicular line L21. A tangent line at the upper portion 20 bb 2 above the central portion 20 bb 1 of the first inclined portion 20 bb is given as L12, and a line perpendicular to the tangent line L12 is given as a perpendicular line L22. Note that the tangent lines L11 and L12 are illustrated slightly away from the first inclined portion 20 bb for explanatory convenience. Assuming that the angle between the perpendicular line L21 and the horizontal line L3 is an angle θ11 and the angle between the perpendicular line L22 and the line L3 is an angle θ12, the angle θ12 is larger than the angle θ11. That is, the perpendicular line L22 is closer to the vertical than the perpendicular line L21. Therefore, as illustrated in FIG. 15B, when the user's eye E1 visually recognizes the central portion 20 bb 1 of the first inclined portion 20 bb with the line of sight in the direction of the perpendicular line L21, in the portion above the central portion 20 bb 1, external light from the direction of the perpendicular line L22 is taken into the first inclined portion 20 bb closer to the vertical than the perpendicular line L21 or the direction of the perpendicular line L23. Since the first inclined portion 20 bb is expanded so as to have a larger diameter than the gasket main body portion 20 a, due to the relationship to the angle of the line of sight of the user's eye E1, the cosmetic material 70 (see FIG. 14B) resting on the first inclined portion 20 bb on the side opposite to the user's eye E1 is easy to visually recognize. That is, viewing of the cosmetic material 70 (see FIG. 14B) attached to the first inclined portion 20 bb inclined in the direction of the line of sight of the user's eye E1 as illustrated in FIG. 15B has better visibility than with the case of viewing the cosmetic material 200 a resting on a wall portion nearly perpendicular to the line of sight of the user's eye E1 as in the conventional example illustrated in FIG. 18B. In addition, since the diameter of the first inclined portion 20 bb is enlarged so as to have a diameter larger than that of the gasket main body portion 20 a, a shadow is less likely to form and external light is more likely to enter so as to improve visibility.
  • For this reason, the user can comfortably perform the fine adjustment of the amount of cosmetic material loaded on the brush 42 on the first inclined portion 20 bb.
  • Second Embodiment
  • A second embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. 16. Descriptions of items common to the first embodiment are omitted.
  • In the gasket main body portion 20A of the second embodiment, the ratio (dC/dA) of the opening diameter dC of the end of the first inclined portion 20 bb (that is, the upper end portion 20 ba) to the average opening diameter dA of the gasket main body portion 20 a is smaller than the gasket main body portion 20 of the first embodiment. In addition, the inclination angle θ2 is equal to the inclination angle θ1.
  • The cosmetics container of the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and various changes can be made without departing from the gist of the present invention.
