Description

  • The instant non-provisional patent application contains subject matter contained in non-provisional patent application Ser. No. 15/530,512, filed on Jan. 23, 2017, by Randy Gifford, for a “Hand-held Device For Removing Shells From Eggs That Have Been Hard Boiled”, and is incorporated herein in its entirety by reference thereto.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of the Invention
  • The embodiments of the present invention relate to a hand-held device, and more particularly, the embodiments of the present invention relate to a hand-held device for removing shells from eggs that have been hard boiled.
  • Description of the Prior Art
  • Numerous innovations for egg peelers have been provided in the prior art, which will be described below in chronological order to show advancement in the art. Even though these innovations may be suitable for the specific individual purposes to which they address, however, they differ from the embodiments of the present invention.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 2,535,980 to Yeamans
  • U.S. Pat. No. 2,535,980 issued to Yeamans on Dec. 26, 1950 in US class 99 and subclass 574 teaches a device including a bracket and a drum mounted for horizontal rotation on the bracket. The drum has one end open and its other end closed. Further included is apparatus mounted on the bracket and operatively connected with the closed end of the drum for imparting rotary motion thereto, a substantially U-shaped member having spaced and relatively broad side portions projecting inwardly at the open end of the drum adjacent to the lower part of the side wall thereof and adapted to receive between the portions an egg placed within the drum upon the lower part of the drum side wall, and teeth formed along the opposed surfaces of the side portions of the U-shaped member. The teeth engage the egg when the egg is placed within the drum. Still further included is an apparatus on the bracket for supporting the outer end of the member.
