Abstract
An acrylic nail removal system includes a glove including a plurality of finger sleeves. The glove includes a palm portion and each of the finger sleeves has a tip portion positioned distal to the palm portion. A quantity of acetone is positioned within each of the tip portions.
Description
- The disclosure relates to acrylic nail removing devices and more particularly pertains to a new acrylic nail removing device for assisting a person in removing their acrylic nails while preventing irritation to the skin while also retaining the fumes from acetone within a closed environment.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a glove including a plurality of finger sleeves. The glove includes a palm portion and each of the finger sleeves has a tip portion positioned distal to the palm portion. A quantity of acetone is positioned within each of the tip portions.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of an acrylic nail removal system according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the disclosure taken along line 4-4 ofFIG. 2 . -
FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the disclosure taken along line 5-5 ofFIG. 3 . - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new acrylic nail removing device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , the acrylicnail removal system 10 generally comprises aglove 12, having a generally conventional glove shape, including a plurality offinger sleeves 14. Theglove 12 includes apalm portion 30 and each of thefinger sleeves 14 has atip portion 16 positioned distal to thepalm portion 30 and having a length of less than about 1.5 inches. Each of thetip portions 16 is comprised of a fluid impermeable material wherein the fluid impermeable material may comprise an elastomeric material. Each of thetip portions 16 includes aring 18 positioned at a juncture of thetip portions 16 and a remaining portion of thefinger sleeves 14. Therings 18 extend around thefinger sleeves 14 and are resiliently stretchable and may have a smaller circumference than an adjacently positioned area of thetip potions 16 to impart constriction on a person's finger at the location of thering 18. A remaining portion of theglove 12, besides thetip portions 16, may be comprised of an absorbent material to absorb any fluids escaping from the tip portions. - A quantity of
acetone 20 is positioned within each of thetip portions 16. The acetone causes anacrylic nail 24 to release from the use's own nail as well as removes nail polish. Anabsorbent material 22 is positioned within each of thetip portions 16. Theabsorbent material 22 prevents theacetone 20 from freely flowing within the tip portions. Theabsorbent material 22 may specifically be positioned on an upper surface of thetip portion 16 such that it will more readily abut anacrylic nail 24. - An
absorbent pad 32 is mounted on an outer surface of thepalm portion 30. Thepad 32 may be used as needed to capture any fluids escaping from theglove 12 or to dry any areas of the person's hands as needed. - A
container 34 is provided which contains petroleum jelly. The petroleum jelly is configured to be positioned on a person's fingers before the fingers are extended into theglove 12. This will prevent any irritation to the fingers which may be caused by theacetone 20. - In use, the user will place petroleum jelly on their hands, leaving their
acrylic nails 24 free of the jelly, and insert their hands into thegloves 12 so that theiracrylic nails 24 come in contact with theacetone 20. After leaving thegloves 12 on for approximately 20 minutes the gloves are removed and theacrylic nails 24 removed from the user's fingers. Thegloves 12 also help reduce irritating fumes from exposed to free acetone as is typically used whenacrylic nails 24 are simply dipped into a container of acetone. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
