FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new screen device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , theportable screen kit 10 generally comprises ascreen 12 has afirst end 14, asecond end 16, atop edge 18, abottom edge 20 and a back surface 22. Thescreen 12 may be stretched around anarea 24. Thearea 24 may be located at a beach, a park or other area used for public gatherings. Thescreen 12 may be comprised of a flexible material thereby facilitating thescreen 12 to be positioned in a selected shape. Additionally, thescreen 12 may be comprised of an opaque material thereby preventing an observer from seeing through thescreen 12. - A pair of
flaps 26 is provided and each of theflaps 26 is attached to thescreen 12. Each of theflaps 26 is positioned on an associated one of thefirst end 14 and thesecond end 16 and each of theflaps 26 extends substantially between thetop edge 18 and thebottom edge 20. Theflaps 26 comprise afirst flap 28 and asecond flap 30 and thefirst flap 28 has a plurality ofopenings 32 extending therethrough. Theopenings 32 are spaced apart from each other and distributed along thefirst flap 28. - A plurality of
fasteners 34 is provided and each of thefasteners 34 is attached to thesecond flap 30. Thefasteners 34 are spaced apart from each other and distributed along thesecond flap 30. Each of thefasteners 34 engages an associated one of theopenings 32 in thesecond flap 30 such that thescreen 12 forms a closed loop. Thus, thescreen 12 may surround the area thereby facilitating thescreen 12 to provide privacy for changing clothes. Thefasteners 34 may comprise buttons or the like. - A plurality of
sleeves 36 is provided and each of thesleeves 36 has atop end 38 and abottom end 40. Thetop end 38 and thebottom end 40 of each of thesleeves 36 are open and each of thesleeves 36 is attached to thescreen 12. Each of thesleeves 36 is positioned on the back surface 22 and thesleeves 36 are spaced apart from each other and distributed between thefirst end 14 and thesecond end 16. Thesleeves 36 may be an integral part of thescreen 12 or each of thesleeves 36 may be discrete elements coupled to thescreen 12. - A plurality of
poles 42 is provided and each of thepoles 42 has atop end 44 and abottom end 46. Thebottom end 46 of each of thepoles 42 tapers to a point. Each of thepoles 42 is slidably inserted into thetop end 38 of an associated one of thesleeves 36 wherein thebottom end 46 of each of thepoles 42 may penetrate asupport surface 48. Thus, thescreen 12 may be retained in an upright orientation with respect to thesupport surface 48. Thesupport surface 48 may be ground. - A plurality of
caps 50 is provided and each of thecaps 50 is removably positioned on thetop end 44 of an associated one of thepoles 42. Each of thecaps 50 may be pressed downwardly thereby urging each of thepoles 42 into thesupport surface 48. Each of thecaps 50 may be removed from the associatedpole 42 when thepole 42 is urged into thesupport surface 48. Alternatively, each of thecaps 50 may be left on the associatedpole 42 to enhance an appearance of each of thepoles 42. - A plurality of
loops 52 is provided and each of theloops 52 is attached to thescreen 12. Each of theloops 52 is positioned on thebottom edge 20. Each of theloops 52 is spaced apart from each other and distributed between thefirst end 14 and thesecond end 16 of thescreen 12. A plurality ofstakes 54 is provided and each of thestakes 54 has afirst end 56 and asecond end 58. Each of thestakes 54 is curved between thefirst end 56 and thesecond end 58 and each of thestakes 54 is insertable through an associated one of theloops 52. Thus, thefirst end 56 of each of thestakes 54 may penetrate thesupport surface 48 thereby retaining each of theloops 52 on thesupport surface 48. Thestakes 54 prevent thescreen 12 from being urged upwardly on thepoles 42. - In use, the
screen 12 is positioned around thearea 24 and each of thepoles 42 is slid into the associatedsleeves 36. Each of thecaps 50 is positioned on thetop end 44 of the associatedpoles 42 and thepoles 42 are urged downwardly into thesupport surface 48. Each of thestakes 54 is inserted through the associatedloop 52 and each of thestakes 54 is urged downwardly into thesupport surface 48. Auser 60 enters thearea 24 and thefasteners 34 are positioned to engage the associatedopenings 32 thereby facilitating theuser 60 to disrobe without being observed. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
