Abstract

An aspect of the present invention provides a ball net with a basket. The ball net comprises a target opening portion, a decelerating catcher, and a collecting pocket. The target opening portion is configured for hulling a ball therein. The decelerating catcher is provided inside the target opening for reducing speed of, stopping, and dropping the ball. The collecting pocket is disposed below the decelerating catcher for receiving the ball dropped from the decelerating catcher and keeping inside. The target opening portion comprises a coilable loop and an edge portion extending from the coilable loop and defining a flying-in opening.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a ball net with basket for use in various sports such as baseball, golf, etc. More specifically, the present invention relates to a ball net, which can catch and collect balls conveniently.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention aims to provide a portable, lightweight, and easy to use exercise platform by which users can practice various sports activities.
  • An aspect of the present invention provides a ball net with a basket.
  • The ball net comprises a target opening portion, a decelerating catcher, and a collecting pocket.
  • The target opening portion is configured for hulling a ball therein.
  • The decelerating catcher is provided inside the target opening for reducing speed of, stopping, and dropping the ball.
  • The collecting pocket is disposed below the decelerating catcher for receiving the ball dropped from the decelerating catcher and keeping inside.
  • The target opening portion may comprise a coilable loop and an edge portion extending from the coilable loop and defining a flying-in opening.
  • The decelerating catcher may comprise a net, and the net is attached to the edge portion of the target opening.
  • The decelerating catcher may further comprise a plurality of straps for connecting the net to the edge portion.
  • The ball net may further comprise a basket retrieving opening below the flying-in opening.
  • The basket retrieving opening may be integrated with the flying-in opening.
  • The ball net may further comprise a separator provided between the flying-in opening and the basket retrieving opening.
  • The separator may comprise a separating band.
  • The edge portion of the target opening portion and the separating band may be made of plastic material.
  • The edge portion of the target opening portion and the separating band may be made of fabric material.
  • The ball net may further comprise:
  • one or more propping poles for propping the target opening portion, wherein each of the one or more propping poles comprises a first end and a second end;
  • a base loop provided on a floor, wherein at least one side thereof is connected to a lower portion of the target opening portion; and
  • one or more holding flaps, each of which having at least three sides adapted to hold a part of the target opening portion, a part of the base loop, and a part of the propping pole.
  • The first end of the propping pole may be detachably connected to an elevated location of the edge portion of the target opening portion, and the second end of the propping pole may be detachably connected to a position of the base loop, such that the target opening portion, the base loop, and the propping pole form a triangle for propping the ball net stably on the floor.
  • The holding flap may be configured to hold the propping pole detachably.
  • The holding flap may be integrated with the target opening portion and the base loop.
  • The collecting pocket may be detached from the rest of the ball net.
  • The collecting pocket may be connected to a lower portion of the target opening portion or the base loop.
  • The ball net may further comprise an enclosing net for enclosing rear side of the target opening, and one or more deploying straps extending from the enclosing net to the base loop.
  • In another aspect of the invention, the target opening portion may comprise two poles, each of which being bent with two ends fixed to a floor. The two poles may be crossed at a zenith point forming four side openings, and one of the four side openings may provide a flying-in opening and the rest of the four side openings are covered by an enclosing net.
  • The ball net may further comprise a bottom funneling net having a dropping hole in a central portion. Edges of the bottom funneling net may be connected to elevated locations of four ends of the two poles. The collecting pocket may be disposed below the dropping hole.
  • The collecting pocket may be detachably attached to edge of the dropping hole. Alternatively, the enclosing net may be integrated with the bottom funneling net.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • An aspect of the present invention provides a ball net 100 as shown in FIGS. 1-3.
  • An aspect of the present invention provides the ball net 100 with a basket.
  • The ball net 100 comprises a target opening portion 10, a decelerating catcher 20, and a collecting pocket 30.
  • The target opening portion 10 is configured for hulling a ball 90 therein. The ball 90 is flying in from the front side, from the left side in FIG. 1.
  • The decelerating catcher 20 is provided inside the target opening 10 for reducing speed of, stopping, and dropping the ball. The decelerating catcher 20 may be disposed in a same plane as edges of the target opening portion 10. Or, alternatively, the decelerating catcher 20 may be disposed in a plane different from the plane defined by the edges of the target opening portion 10. That is, the decelerating catcher 20 may be disposed a little behind the plane.
  • The collecting pocket 30 is disposed below the decelerating catcher 20 for receiving the ball 90 dropped down from the decelerating catcher 20 and keeping inside.
  • The target opening portion 10 may comprise a coilable loop 12 and an edge portion 14 extending from the coilable loop 12 and defining a flying-in opening. The target opening portion 10 may further comprise a plurality of corner holders 16, which bend a portion of the coilable loop 12 and hold in place so as to for corners as shown in FIG. 1.
  • The decelerating catcher 20 may comprise a net, and the net is attached to the edge portion of the target opening portion 10. In certain embodiments of the invention, the decelerating catcher 20 may be detachably attached to the vicinity of the coilable loop 12 by a hook (not shown) attached to the decelerating catcher 20.
  • The decelerating catcher 20 may further comprise a plurality of straps 22 for connecting the net 20 to the edge portion of the coilable loop 12.
  • The ball net 100 may further comprise a pocket or basket retrieving opening 40 below the flying-in opening 13.
  • The basket retrieving opening 40 may be integrated with the flying-in opening 13.
  • The ball net 100 may further comprise a separator 50 provided between the flying-in opening 13 and the basket retrieving opening 30.
  • The separator 50 may comprise a separating band extending from the edge portion 14 at the sides.
  • The edge portion 14 of the target opening portion 10 and the separating band 50 may be made of plastic material.
  • The edge portion 14 of the target opening portion 10 and the separating band 50 may be made of fabric material.
  • The ball net 100 may further comprise:
  • one or more propping poles 60 for propping the target opening portion 10, wherein each of the one or more propping poles 60 comprises a first end 62 and a second end 64;
  • a base loop 70 provided on a floor, wherein at least one side thereof is connected to a lower portion of the target opening portion 10; and
  • one or more holding flaps 80, each of which having at least three sides adapted to hold a part of the target opening portion 10, a part of the base loop 70, and a part of the propping pole 60 as shown in FIG. 1.
  • The first end 62 of the propping pole 60 may be detachably connected to an elevated location of the edge portion 14 of the target opening portion 10, and the second end 64 of the propping pole 60 may be detachably connected to a position of the base loop 70, such that the target opening portion 10, the base loop 70, and the propping pole 60 form a triangle for propping the ball net 100 stably on the floor.
  • The holding flap 80 may be configured to hold the propping pole 60 detachably.
  • The holding flap 80 may be integrated with the target opening portion 10 and the base loop 70.
  • The collecting pocket 30 may be detached from the rest of the ball net 100.
  • The collecting pocket 30 may be connected to a lower portion of the target opening portion 10 or the base loop 70 through a strap or band (not shown).
  • The ball net 100 may further comprise an enclosing net 88 for enclosing rear side of the target opening portion 10, and one or more deploying straps 89 extending from the enclosing net to the base loop 70 through a fastening device such as a peg.
  • In another aspect of the invention as shown in FIGS. 4-6, the target opening portion 10 may comprise two poles 110, 120, each of which being bent with two ends fixed to the floor. The two poles 110, 120 may be crossed at a zenith point forming four side openings, and one of the four side openings may provide a flying-in opening 111 and the rest of the four side openings are covered by an enclosing net 88.
  • The ball net 100′ may further comprise a bottom funneling net 188 having a dropping hole 189 in a central portion. Edges of the bottom funneling net 188 may be connected to elevated locations of four ends of the two poles 110, 120. The collecting pocket 30 may be disposed below the dropping hole 189.
  • The collecting pocket 30 may be detachably attached to edge of the dropping hole 189. Alternatively, the enclosing net 88 may be integrated with the bottom funneling net 188.
  • In certain embodiments of the invention, the collecting pocket 30 may comprise a basket. The collecting pocket or the basket may be made of a net.
  • In another certain embodiments of the invention, the collecting pocket 30 may comprise an extracting slit 190 from which balls can be taken out as shown in FIGS. 3 and 5. The extracting slit 190 may comprise a fastening device, for example but not to restricted to, a Velcro®.
  • While the invention has been shown and described with reference to different embodiments thereof, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that variations in form, detail, compositions and operation may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the accompanying claims.

Claims (20)

1. A ball net comprising:
a target opening portion configured for hulling a ball therein;
a decelerating catcher provided inside the target opening for reducing speed of, stopping, and dropping the ball; and
a collecting pocket disposed below the decelerating catcher for receiving the ball dropped from the decelerating catcher and keeping inside.
2. The ball net of claim 1, wherein the target opening portion comprises:
a coilable loop; and
an edge portion extending from the coilable loop and defining a flying-in opening.
3. The ball net of claim 2, wherein the decelerating catcher comprises a net, wherein the net is attached to the edge portion of the target opening.
4. The ball net of claim 3, wherein the decelerating catcher further comprises a plurality of straps for connecting the net to the edge portion.
5. The ball net of claim 2, further comprising a basket retrieving opening below the flying-in opening.
6. The ball net of claim 5, wherein the basket retrieving opening is integrated with the flying-in opening.
7. The ball net of claim 5, further comprising a separator provided between the flying-in opening and the basket retrieving opening.
8. The ball net of claim 7, wherein the separator comprises a separating band.
9. The ball net of claim 8, wherein the edge portion of the target opening portion and the separating band are made of plastic material.
10. The ball net of claim 8, wherein the edge portion of the target opening portion and the separating band are made of fabric material.
11. The ball net of claim 1, further comprising:
one or more propping poles for propping the target opening portion, wherein each of the one or more propping poles comprises a first end and a second end;
a base loop provided on a floor, wherein at least one side thereof is connected to a lower portion of the target opening portion; and
one or more holding flaps, each of which having at least three sides adapted to hold a part of the target opening portion, a part of the base loop, and a part of the propping pole,
wherein the first end of the propping pole is detachably connected to an elevated location of the edge portion of the target opening portion, and wherein the second end of the propping pole is detachably connected to a position of the base loop, such that the target opening portion, the base loop, and the propping pole form a triangle for propping the ball net stably on the floor.
12. The ball net of claim 11, wherein the holding flap is configured to hold the propping pole detachably.
13. The ball net of claim 12, wherein the holding flap is integrated with the target opening portion and the base loop.
14. The ball net of claim 1, wherein the collecting pocket is detached from the rest of the ball net.
15. The ball net of claim 1, wherein the collecting pocket is connected to a lower portion of the target opening portion or the base loop.
16. The ball net of claim 1, further comprising:
an enclosing net for enclosing rear side of the target opening; and
one or more deploying straps extending from the enclosing net to the base loop.
17. The ball net of claim 1, wherein the target opening portion comprises two poles, wherein each of the two poles are bent with two ends fixed to a floor, wherein the two poles are crossed at a zenith point forming four side openings, and wherein one of the four side openings provides a flying-in opening and the rest of the four side openings are covered by an enclosing net.
18. The ball net of claim 17, further comprising a bottom funneling net having a dropping hole in a central portion, wherein edges of the bottom funneling net is connected to elevated locations of four ends of the two poles, and wherein the collecting pocket is disposed below the dropping hole.
19. The ball net of claim 18, wherein the collecting pocket is detachably attached to edge of the dropping hole.
20. The ball net of claim 19, wherein the enclosing net is integrated with the bottom funneling net.
