Abstract

The purpose the gun lap rack is to bold a rifle or shotgun in place on your lap, while riding an all terrain vehicle, (ATV). It works by placing a gun lap rack on each thigh with the opening toward your body, using the adjustable quick release straps. Then attach it around your thigh. Next, place a shotgun or rifle across your lap in the opens of each lap rack and secure the gun with the Velcro straps that are attached.
This product allows the hunter to carry the gun across his or her lap, hands free; allowing quick access to your gun while riding the (ATV). The gun lap rack allows a quicker access than other ATV racks, and reduces shock to the scope, thus reducing misalignment.

    INVENTION DESCRIPTION
  • 1. What is the new product idea/concept? “Gun Lap Rack”
  • The purpose of the gun lap rack is to hold a rifle or shotgun in place on your lap, while riding and all terrain vehicle, (ATV)
  • 2. Decscribe how it works: Place a gun lap rack on each thigh with the opening toward your body, using the adjustable quick release straps. Attach it around your thigh. Then place the shotgun or rifle across your lap in the opening of each lap rack. Secure the gun with the Velcro straps that are attached.
  • 3. What need does it fulfill? It allows the hunter to carry the gun across his or her lap, hands free; allowing quick access to your gun while riding the (ATV)
  • 4. What problem does it solve? The gun rack allows a quicker access than other ATV racks, and reduces shock to the scope, thus reducing misalignment.

  • 8. What materials are used to manufacture? Is it practical to consider using recycled materials? a. high density foam, b. camouflage fabric, c. Nylon, d. Velcro and no recycled materials have been considered in the manufacture of this product.
  • EXPLANATION OF DRAWING FIGURES
  • FIG. 1 shows the frame of the lap rack, with Velcro strap which is for the securing of the gun to the lap rack.
  • FIG. 2 shows the frame with Velcro strap along with the quick release strap, which secures the lap rack to the thigh.
  • FIG. 3 demonstrates the positions of each lap rack prior to attachment to the gun.
  • FIG. 4 shows the lap rack attached to the gun.
  • FIG. 5 is again showing the position of the lap racks prior to installation to the gun.
  • FIG. 6 is again showing the Gun properly attached to the lap rack
  • FIG. 7 shows the complete use of the lap rack in it proper use of securing the Gun to the thighs, by the quick release straps, thus allowing quick access to your gun.
