Abstract

The purpose of the invention is to anchor the belt in position around the waist of the wearer. This invention will keep the belt from moving higher or lower around the waist of the wearer. Belt loops around the waist band of the pants have kept the belt in place for years. There are a number of ways of holding up the pants at the waist without using a belt such as buttons, elastics, etc. But if you want to use a belt without belt loops the belt must be anchored. This is what the four claims are about. The belt anchor holds the belt more firmly in place. It also allows for the belt to be used without belt loops on the pants, giving the wearer a different look about the waist.

  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The invention pertains to holding the pant up at the waist with a belt. This has been done in the past and is currently done by putting the belt through a series of belt loops. The loops and the tightness of the belt keeps the belt from moving higher or lower around the waist of the wearer.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The Belt Anchors holds the belt in place around the waist without belt loops attached to the pants to keep the belt in place around the waist of the wearer. There is nothing that is currently being used that compare with holding the belt in place with fasteners. The fasteners does a better job of holding the belt in place and some men like the no belt loop look. The fasteners do not hold up the pants. The fasteners attaches the belt to the pants and the belt holds the pants up.
  • The Belt Anchor 1. holds the belt in the right position around the waist by using touch Fasteners (velcro) on the belt and touch fasteners (velcro) around the waist band of the pants. The Belt Anchor 2. holds the belt in the right position around the waist by using Ziploc Fasteners on the belt and Ziploc fasteners around the waist band of the pants. The Belt Anchor 3. holds the belt in the right position around the waist by using a hook and eye closure on the belt and around the waist band of the pants. The Belt Anchor 4. holds the belt in the right position around the waist by using anorak snaps (button snaps) to fasten the belt to the pants.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING
  • FIG. 1. shows the Belt Anchor 1. touch fasteners (velcro)attached to the belt with leather Glue. The fabric half of the touch fastener is attached to belt. The hook half of the touch fastener is sewed to the pants.
  • FIG. 2. shows the belt buckled. The half of the touch fastener that is attached to the belt And the half of the touch fastener that is attached to pants are meshed together.
  • FIG. 3. shows the Belt Anchor 2. Ziploc Fastener (press and seal) attached to the belt And to the pants of the wearer. The tounge half of the fastener is glued th the belt the Groove half of the fastener is sewed to pants.
  • FIG. 4. shows the belt buckled. The tounge half of the Ziploc is pressed together with The groove half of the Ziploc.
  • FIG. 5. shows the Belt Anchor 3. hook and eye fasteners. The hook half of the fastener is glued to the belt and the eye half of the fastener is sewed to the pants.
  • FIG. 6. shows the belt buckled and the hook and eye engaged together.
  • FIG. 7. shows the Belt Anchor 4. anorak snaps (button snaps) attached to the belt and the pants of the wearer. The button shaped half of the snap is glued to the belt. The snap half is sewed to the pants.
  • FIG. 8. shows the belt buckled and the anorak snaps engaged.
  • FIG. 9. shows a close-up view of a Ziploc (press and seal).
  • FIG. 10. shows a close-up view of a Touch Fastener (Velcro).
  • FIG. 11 shows a close-up view of a Anorak Snap.
  • FIG. 12 shows a close-up view of a Hook and Eye fastener.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • There are many ways to hold up the pants. My invention only pertains to holding the pants up with a belt. Currently the only way to hold the pants up with a belt is to buy pants with belt loops attached to the waist band of the pants. The belt is pulled through the belt loops. The belt loops plus the tightness of the belt keeps the belt from moving out of position around the waist of the wearer. Without belt loops on the pants, as the wearer move, the belt will move higher on the wearer until it is no longer around the waist band of the wearer pants, but are around his midriff doing nothing.
  • The Belt Anchor is a method or process of holding up a pair of pants with a belt but, without belt loops around the waist band of the pants of the wearer. This is accomplished by using fasteners to anchor the belt to the pants and then the belt is buckled. The type of fasteners that I use in my invention are touch fasteners, ziploc fasteners, hook and eye fasteners, and anorak snap fasteners.

Claims (4)

1. Belt Anchor 1.
I claim as my invention, the method of holding a belt in place around the waist of a wearer without the use of belt loops on the pants by using a touch fastener, with half of the touch fastener attached to the belt and half to the waist band of the pants to hold the belt in place by meshing the two halves together.
2. Belt Anchor 2.
I claim as my invention, the method of holding a belt in place around the waist of a wearer without the use of belt loops on the pants by using a tongue and groove fastener, with half of the tongue and groove fastener attached to the belt and half to the waist band of pants to hold the belt in place by pressing the tongue into the groove half of the fastener.
3. Belt Anchor 3.
I claim as my invention, the method of holding a belt in place around the waist of a wearer without the use of belt loops on the pants by using a hook and eye fastener, with the hook half of the fastener attached to the belt and the eye half attached to the waist band of the pants to hold the belt in place by hooking the halves together.
4. Belt Anchor 4
I claim as my invention, the method of holding a belt in place around the waist of a wearer without the use of belt loops on the pants by using a snap fastener, with half of the fastener attached to the belt and half attached to the waist band of the pants to hold the belt in place by snapping the halves together.
