Abstract
A packaging container includes a main body and a hook portion detachably connected to the main body. The main body includes two downward-curved upper left and upper right corners to provide two shoulder portions like a suit hanger, and is provided at least at a top center with a first hole for the hook portion to connect thereto. The packaging container is used to receive therein an article for sale and can be hung on a rack or rail at the hook portion. After the article is removed from the main body, the whole packaging container may be recycled for use as a suit hanger.
Description
- The present invention relates to a packaging container that is recyclable for use as suit hanger to reduce unnecessary waste of usable resources and minimize pollution and destruction of ecologies caused by discarded packaging materials.
- There are many small to middle sizes articles, such as parts and hardware for cars and motorcycles, being packed in a packaging containers for sale. The packaging containers are then hung on a rack or rail for display.
- A packaging container made of a plastic material is tough and strong enough to bear a heavy article, and can be easily molded corresponding to a shape of the article to be packed therein. Therefore, molded plastic packaging containers have been widely employed in commercial field.
- Most conventional packaging containers are discarded by consumers when the article packed therein is removed therefrom.
- Since the packaging containers usually have a considerably large volume, they would occupy relatively large space when they are discarded. Particularly, the plastic packaging containers are not decomposable and would pollute and destroy the ecologies if they are not effectively recycled.
- It is therefore tried by the inventor to develop a packaging container that can be recycled for use as a suit hanger instead of being discarded immediately after the packed article is removed therefrom.
- A packaging container recyclable for use as suit hanger according to the present invention mainly includes a main body and a hook portion detachably connected to the main body.
- The structure and the technical means adopted by the present invention to achieve the above and other objects can be best understood by referring to the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings, wherein
-
FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a packaging container recyclable for use as a suit hanger according to the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is an assembled perspective view ofFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 3 is an enlarged perspective view of the circled area A ofFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 4 is an enlarged perspective view of the circled area B ofFIG. 2 ; -
FIG. 5 shows the packaging container of the present invention having merchandise packed therein is hung on a display rail for sale; and -
FIG. 6 shows the packaging container of the present invention with the packed merchandise removed therefrom is recycled for use as a suit hanger. - Please refer to
FIGS. 1 and 2 that are exploded and assembled perspective views, respectively, of a packaging container recyclable for use as suit hanger according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. For simplicity, the present invention will be referred to as the recyclable packaging container hereinafter. As shown, the recyclable packaging container includes a main body 1 for holdingmerchandise 3 therein, and ahook portion 2. - The main body 1 provides an
internal space 11 adapted to receive themerchandise 3 therein. In the illustrated embodiment, themerchandise 3 is an elongate flasher for car. The main body 1 of the recyclable packaging container of the present invention is characterized in that it is provided at upper left and upper right corners with downward curved left andright shoulder portions first hole 14, and at least at one of the left and right sides thereof with asecond hole 15, so that the main body 1 may be hung on a certain place using the first or thesecond hole - The
hook portion 2 is adapted to detachably connect to the main body 1 for hanging the latter on, for example, adisplay rail 4, as shown inFIG. 5 . Thehook portion 2 includes ahook 21 and afastening button 22 located at a lower end of thehook 21. As can be clearly seen fromFIGS. 3 and 4 , thefastening button 22 includes aneck portion 221 and an expandedhead portion 222 located at an outer end of theneck portion 221. Thehook portion 2 also includes an integrally formedfastening band 23 extended from one side of thefastening button 22 toward thehook 21. Thefastening band 23 is provided at a free end opposite to thefastening button 22 with afastening hole 231 adapted to engage with theneck portion 221 of thefastening button 22, and at a middle point with agroove 232, which allows thefastening band 23 to easily bend thereat for thefastening hole 231 to align with the expandedhead 221 of thefastening button 22. - The
hook portion 2 is connected to the main body 1 by extending thefastening button 22 through the first or thesecond hole fastening band 23 at thegroove 232, and force thefastening hole 231 through the expandedhead portion 222 of thefastening button 22 to locate around theneck portion 221, so that thewhole hook portion 2 is held to the main body 1 at thehole hook portion 2 connected to the main body 1, the main body 1 can be hung on thedisplay rail 4. - The main body 1 may be horizontally hung on the
rail 4 when thehook portion 2 is connected to thefirst hole 14, or vertically hung from therail 4 when thehook portion 2 is connected to thesecond hole 15.FIG. 5 shows thehook portion 2 is connected to the main body 1 at thesecond hole 15 for the main body 1 to vertically hang on therail 4, so that themerchandise 3 is received in thereceiving space 11 of the main body 1 for display and sale. - A consumer purchasing the
merchandise 3 may unpack the recyclable packaging container to remove themerchandise 3 out of the main body 1, and change thehook portion 2 from thesecond hole 15 to thefirst hole 14. The downward curved left andright shoulder portions clothes 5, as shown inFIG. 6 . - In brief, the present invention provides a recyclable packaging container that may be reused as a suit hanger after the merchandise packed therein is removed. Therefore, the packaging container may be recycled to eliminate unnecessary waste of usable resources and minimize pollution and destruction of ecologies caused by discarded packaging materials.
