Abstract

A packaging container includes a main body and a hook portion detachably connected to the main body. The main body includes two downward-curved upper left and upper right corners to provide two shoulder portions like a suit hanger, and is provided at least at a top center with a first hole for the hook portion to connect thereto. The packaging container is used to receive therein an article for sale and can be hung on a rack or rail at the hook portion. After the article is removed from the main body, the whole packaging container may be recycled for use as a suit hanger.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a packaging container that is recyclable for use as suit hanger to reduce unnecessary waste of usable resources and minimize pollution and destruction of ecologies caused by discarded packaging materials.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • There are many small to middle sizes articles, such as parts and hardware for cars and motorcycles, being packed in a packaging containers for sale. The packaging containers are then hung on a rack or rail for display.
  • A packaging container made of a plastic material is tough and strong enough to bear a heavy article, and can be easily molded corresponding to a shape of the article to be packed therein. Therefore, molded plastic packaging containers have been widely employed in commercial field.
  • Most conventional packaging containers are discarded by consumers when the article packed therein is removed therefrom.
  • Since the packaging containers usually have a considerably large volume, they would occupy relatively large space when they are discarded. Particularly, the plastic packaging containers are not decomposable and would pollute and destroy the ecologies if they are not effectively recycled.
  • It is therefore tried by the inventor to develop a packaging container that can be recycled for use as a suit hanger instead of being discarded immediately after the packed article is removed therefrom.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • A packaging container recyclable for use as suit hanger according to the present invention mainly includes a main body and a hook portion detachably connected to the main body.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The structure and the technical means adopted by the present invention to achieve the above and other objects can be best understood by referring to the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings, wherein
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a packaging container recyclable for use as a suit hanger according to the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is an assembled perspective view of FIG. 1;
  • FIG. 3 is an enlarged perspective view of the circled area A of FIG. 1;
  • FIG. 4 is an enlarged perspective view of the circled area B of FIG. 2;
  • FIG. 5 shows the packaging container of the present invention having merchandise packed therein is hung on a display rail for sale; and
  • FIG. 6 shows the packaging container of the present invention with the packed merchandise removed therefrom is recycled for use as a suit hanger.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Please refer to FIGS. 1 and 2 that are exploded and assembled perspective views, respectively, of a packaging container recyclable for use as suit hanger according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. For simplicity, the present invention will be referred to as the recyclable packaging container hereinafter. As shown, the recyclable packaging container includes a main body 1 for holding merchandise 3 therein, and a hook portion 2.
  • The main body 1 provides an internal space 11 adapted to receive the merchandise 3 therein. In the illustrated embodiment, the merchandise 3 is an elongate flasher for car. The main body 1 of the recyclable packaging container of the present invention is characterized in that it is provided at upper left and upper right corners with downward curved left and right shoulder portions 12, 13, respectively, and can therefore be used as a suit hanger. The main body 1 is also provided at a top center with a first hole 14, and at least at one of the left and right sides thereof with a second hole 15, so that the main body 1 may be hung on a certain place using the first or the second hole 14 or 15.
  • The hook portion 2 is adapted to detachably connect to the main body 1 for hanging the latter on, for example, a display rail 4, as shown in FIG. 5. The hook portion 2 includes a hook 21 and a fastening button 22 located at a lower end of the hook 21. As can be clearly seen from FIGS. 3 and 4, the fastening button 22 includes a neck portion 221 and an expanded head portion 222 located at an outer end of the neck portion 221. The hook portion 2 also includes an integrally formed fastening band 23 extended from one side of the fastening button 22 toward the hook 21. The fastening band 23 is provided at a free end opposite to the fastening button 22 with a fastening hole 231 adapted to engage with the neck portion 221 of the fastening button 22, and at a middle point with a groove 232, which allows the fastening band 23 to easily bend thereat for the fastening hole 231 to align with the expanded head 221 of the fastening button 22.
  • The hook portion 2 is connected to the main body 1 by extending the fastening button 22 through the first or the second hole 14 or 15, depending on an actual use of the recyclable packaging container. Then, bend the fastening band 23 at the groove 232, and force the fastening hole 231 through the expanded head portion 222 of the fastening button 22 to locate around the neck portion 221, so that the whole hook portion 2 is held to the main body 1 at the hole 14 or 15. With the hook portion 2 connected to the main body 1, the main body 1 can be hung on the display rail 4.
  • The main body 1 may be horizontally hung on the rail 4 when the hook portion 2 is connected to the first hole 14, or vertically hung from the rail 4 when the hook portion 2 is connected to the second hole 15. FIG. 5 shows the hook portion 2 is connected to the main body 1 at the second hole 15 for the main body 1 to vertically hang on the rail 4, so that the merchandise 3 is received in the receiving space 11 of the main body 1 for display and sale.
  • A consumer purchasing the merchandise 3 may unpack the recyclable packaging container to remove the merchandise 3 out of the main body 1, and change the hook portion 2 from the second hole 15 to the first hole 14. The downward curved left and right shoulder portions 12, 13 of the main body 1 allows the consumer to use the main body 1 as a suit hanger for hanging clothes 5, as shown in FIG. 6.
  • In brief, the present invention provides a recyclable packaging container that may be reused as a suit hanger after the merchandise packed therein is removed. Therefore, the packaging container may be recycled to eliminate unnecessary waste of usable resources and minimize pollution and destruction of ecologies caused by discarded packaging materials.
