Abstract
A bottle harness for holding a baby bottle and preventing the baby bottle from being spilled, dropped or accidentally knocked over while feeding the baby and which is attachable through an object such as an arm or the shoulder area of a user.
Description
- A bottle harness for holding a baby bottle and preventing the baby bottle from being spilled, dropped or accidentally knocked over while feeding the baby and which is attachable through an object such as an arm or the shoulder area of a user.
- The present invention relates to baby accessories and more particularly to a baby accessory that includes a combination of an elastic or web band with a lower harness for securing a baby bottle, allowing the user to wear the band around or over the shoulders and keep the bottle from being spilled, dropped or accidentally knocked over while feeding the baby and allowing the user to use the hand that is typically holding the bottle for other operations intermittently.
- It is often difficult for a child care giver to hold a baby bottle in position for the baby to consume the contents of the bottle without sometimes removing the bottle to just rest the arm, or the like. It would be a benefit, therefore, to have a bottle harness which could be attached around the shoulder of the user and which would provide a harness assembly for supporting the bottle in the use position; so that the bottle would not be spilled, dropped or accidentally knocked over when the user removed their hands for a small period of time to rest the hand, or to grasp a pencil or other item, such as a telephone.
- It is thus an object of the invention to provide a harness for securing a standard baby bottle between the shoulder of a user and the front portion of a baby drinking the contents of the bottle.
- Accordingly, a Drink Deputy harness is provided which includes an elastic or web band with a lower harness adapted to hold a baby bottle. The elastic or web band includes an adjustable clip to allow the band to be adjusted for length and a quick release clip that would be used to create an upper loop that could be secured around any stroller, hand, high chair, car seat, grocery basket, or the shoulder.
- For a further understanding of the nature and objects of the present invention, reference should be had to the following detailed description, taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawing, in which like elements are given the same or analogous reference numbers and wherein:
-
FIG. 1 shows a first exemplary embodiment of the harness from the front; and -
FIG. 2 shows the exemplary embodiment ofFIG. 1 from the side. -
FIG. 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of the harness of the present invention generally designated as 10. Thebottle harness 10 includes an elastic or web band assembly, generally designated 12, having elastic or web members 14 which are detachably connectable by quickrelease locking assembly 18, and which terminates in aharness assembly 20, which is shaped and adapted for holding a baby bottle. The elastic or web band as shown inFIG. 2 includes alooping portion 26 betweenfasteners 18 to allow a loop to be created bout any object, such as a stroller arm or a shoulder of a carrier by snap fastening the quickrelease flip assembly 18 together once theband portion 26 is wrapped around the desired object. The size of the loop which is formed can be adjusted byadjustment clips - It is noted that the embodiment of the Drink Deputy harness described herein for exemplary purposes is of course subject to many different variations in structure, design, application and methodology. Because many varying and different embodiments may be made within the scope of the inventive concept(s) herein taught, and because many modifications may be made in the embodiment herein detailed in accordance with the descriptive requirements of the law, it is to be understood that the details herein are to be interpreted as illustrative and not in a limiting sense.
