The support of this critical design yields preventative measures for the relief of pain from the impact of stress caused by bodily distortions when sleeping while sitting up.

Description

  • THE INVENTOR WAS A MASSAGE THERAPIST BEFORE HER HEART SURGERY. AFTER SURGERY SHE KEPT GOING TO SLEEP WHILE SITTING UP, AND AWAKING WITH NECK AND SHOULDER PAIN FROM A SLUMPING HEAD. SHE TRIED PILLOWS, BOLSTER ROLLS AND A COMMERCIAL NECK PILLOW THAT WAS NOTHING MORE THAN A TUBE FILLED WITH BUCKWHEAT HULLS. THEY WERE ALL UNSATISFACTORY, FOR DIFFERENT REASONS. ONE FAULT THEY ALL HAD WAS THEY WOULD NOT STAY IN PLACE. [0001]

Claims (3)

1. I claim that my invention, the comfort device called the Neck Napper, will give the person wearing it, neck and head support so that they may sleep sitting up without the usual neck and shoulder pain that results from a slumping head.
2. I claim that my comfort device the Neck Napper, is adjustable by three completely different ways, making it adaptable to most people.
3. I claim that my comfort device, the Neck Napper, is exceptionally suitable for wheelchaired persons for napping while in their chair, avoiding unnecessary transferring to bed and back again.
