Abstract

A backlight module includes a back plate, a light guide plate and a light source. The backlight plate includes a bottom plate, a lateral frame and a protruding portion. The bottom plate has a surface. The lateral frame is connected to the peripheral edge of the bottom plate and is substantially perpendicular to the surface. The protruding portion includes a first plate, the second plate and a pair of lateral wings. The first plate is connected to the lateral frame. The second plate is connected to the first plate and the bottom plate. The pair of wings is bent and is connected respectively to the lateral sides of first plate or the lateral sides of the second plate. The light guide plate has a first lateral surface and a second lateral surface. The first lateral surface has a recess. The light guide is positioned on the surface. The protruding portion occupies the recess. The light source is disposed between the second lateral surface of the light guide plate and the back plate.
