Abstract
To provide a dynamic vibration absorber of which the vibration absorbing efficiency will not decrease. The dynamic vibration absorber (10) is fitted by means of a fitting pin (20) to a main chassis (18) for supporting the motor for driving an optical disk and includes a cylindrical elastic sub-damper (11) having a through hole (16) for inserting the fitting pin (20) therethrough and a dynamic vibration absorbing member (17) retained in the sub-damper (11). The sub-damper (11) is provided with a pressing portion (12a) which pushes against the head of fitting pin (20), a pressing portion (12b) which pushes against the main chassis (18), and circular grooves (13a, 13b) being so fitted as to intersect the imaginary hand (a) extending to pass axially across both of the first and second pressing portions (12a, 12b), thereby relieving the compression force occurred between the first and second pressing portions (12a, 12b).
