Abstract

A total heat exchanger for exchanging both the sensible heat and latent heat between first air flow discharged from a room and second air flow introduced in the room includes a heat exchange core, a heat pipe heat exchanger and at least one blower. The heat exchange core has two cross-flow air flow passages separately defined therein for passing through of the first and second air flows respectively to thereby conduct total heat exchange and improve the air quality of the room. The heat pipe heat exchanger includes at least one heat pipe and a plurality of fins attached to the heat pipe. The heat pipe heat exchanger is divided into two sections communicating with the two air flow passages of the heat exchange core respectively so as to increase the heat exchange efficiency between the first and second air flows and to facilitate the flowing of the first and second air flows into the air flow passages of the heat exchange core.
