Abstract

Disclosed is a portable electrical device (MFG) with a light-source (LQ) to emit light, and a fiber-shaped medium (F) with an input-section (EA) to couple-in the light emitted from the light-source (LQ), and at least one output-section (F11, F12, F13) to exit the light in the direction of the outside of the portable electrical device (MFC). Through the use of a fiber-shaped medium to guide and emit the light (either point-shaped or homogeneous over an extended section), a large construction freedom is given in the design of the mobile telephone, because, because the light-source to emit the light in the fiber-shaped medium can be arranged quasi any in or at the mobile telephone. In addition, a fiber-shaped medium, especially in the realization of a polymer-optical fiber or a glass-fiber, has a large flexibility and is also impact-insensible, so that a reliable operation can be guaranteed.
