Buluş bunların sulu dispersiyonları ya da su içinde yeniden dağıtılabilir toz formunda fonksiyonelleştirilmiş kopolimerler ile, bunların üretimi ile ve bunların boyama maddeleri için, özellikle > 60 pigment hacim konsantrasyonuna (PVK) sahip olan yüksek doldurulmuş iç boyalar için, ve tamamen özellikle tercihen sodyum silikat içerikli ya da silikat açısından zengin boya maddeleri için ıslak ovalama mukavemetinin iyileştirilmesi için bağ maddesi olarak kullanımı ile ilgilidir.
