Abstract

A channel (4) connects the pipe (1) via a hole (3) in its wall to a chamber (5) filled with gas, preferably air (8). This chamber is connected to the pressure gauge (6) and forms a tight seal in the event of the channel becoming blocked. The gauge is used to measure the (preferably static) pressure of an optionally heterogeneous or contaminated liquid flowing through a pipe.
